New Baldur's Gate

Wow, I didn't know there was going to be another Baldurs Gate game. I'm actually pretty pumped up for this game. Definitely something I'd like to play on my spare time besides Starcraft 2.

omfg i cant wait till tomorrow. You don`t wana know how long I spent making and playing this game when I was a kid. Like I would spend an entire night customizing a character and going over the story in my head and role playing his life before the beginning of the game etc. This is such a huge event for me you have no idea. I really hope EA does not get their grubby hands on it, and push it out like one of their shit for games recently. Holy shit. holy shit.

Ok. Ok ok ok ok ok ok guys I'm not really familiar with the way this company announces stuff; do you think they would actually go to such lengths, create so much hype, just to announce a remake / tablet version?

In this case that would be quite disappointing but does it really make sense? Doesn't sound very reasonable to me

I don't understand why people keep mentioning EA / BioWare in this thread. It's pretty much confirmed that it's the company Beamdog that's working on it (as seen on Trent Oster twitter) and as far as I know, they are not related.

Yeah other than that, sooooooooooooooo excited for tonight's announcement. And to be honest, I don't care about the possibility of just a shitty port because in that case, I'll just continue the awesome BG2 run I'm currently doing

Well, I don't think thats exactly it. Beamdog is a distribution service; I'm fairly sure they don't make games.

And Trent Oster used to work at Bioware. That is why people are drawing this relationship.

Oh my. If they make some sort of an expansion to BG1 or BG2 I'll be the happiest man on the planet. Fuck HD why the hell would you need that? I want me some good storylines and some sick gameplay. Oh I have a feeling I will be terribly disappointed.

Infinity Engine 2 , and baldurs gate 3.

In isometric 2d up to 1080p resolution and written dialogues , tons of content and artwork up to the classics feel ; true D&D ruleset.

Easy modding and mapmaking.

Man, that would be so awesome. Maybe improve the UI a bit too, fix the pathfinding and make it even bigger then BG2.

More likely to become a cover-based shooter though, with heavy focus on gay romance and a generic save-the-world plot
