Do you have a dual GPU or crossfired GPU's on your computer? Because until I disabled crossfire my computer refused to run them too.(some older software, dragon age for example, is allergic to overclocked components too for w/e reason D= )
So you could give that a shot and see if they run? =D |

Not really, the druid kits where vastly inferior to any of the other classes. Clerics was just all around better. One things for sure though, druids were fun to play despite issues.
Druid was weak in BGII due to being unable to level out of 14. In Thrones, Druid felt overpowered to me. O.o
Totemic Druid is a very underrated kit in my opinion. Spirit Animals + Haste pretty much own the early game along with Insect Plague for casters. End game isn't as good as some of the other ones, but end game isn't usually a problem difficulty-wise.
the game was easy to finish with any kind of character... i finished it like 10 times just for the fun. druids have fun spells, fun but didn't bring the badassary like archer/kensai/sorcerer/stalker(although didn't manage to backstab once with stalker, it was bugged or something)/swashbuckler. the different shapeshifts i found pretty much useless at later stages. most fun i probably had with blade and that priest kit that could summon that magic sword.
anyways kind of disappointed that it'll be a remake but will try it never the less. been in the futile hope for over a decade that they'll make a second game of planescape:torment, but i guess it'll never happen |

Thank god they didn't decide to ruin the Saga of Baldur's Gate by doing BG 3 or some other equally retarded shit.
Enhanced edition is all the games needed. What would be really great is the ability to play through the entire saga in 1 game, seamlessly, on a modernized infinity engine (widescreen, less bugs, better interface).
Come to think of it, BG was the perfect example of how you could tell a complete story from start to finish in exactly the right amount of gameplay, it was only hindered by class imbalances (which isn't important, since its not a player vs player game) and the bugginess of the infinity engine |

There are already easy to use fan mods that achieve just this (except for the interface, I guess). Fixed bugs, widescreen support and a seamless transition from BG1 to part two.

For an example the 2nd Edition is pretty terrible by today's standard. If you don't get any caster levels the game is very boring which limits character builds tremendously. Not having caster levels only limits YOU as it is a single player and YOU chose to not take casters into your party.

isnt 4th edition like very simple? i have no clue about d&d in the end but i listened to the penny arcade d&d series and it seemed very... basic compared to what knew from bg.

sorry but "when i play a specific limited style where i ignore huge parts of the game on my 50th playthrough(so i dont care about story anymore) the game isnt that exciting" isnt exactly convincing.
imo outside of resolution/font size issues those games aged super well. esp considering how damn old they are by now. |
