In the same vein as the "Awesome/confusing sc2 bm" thread, I thought it would be a good idea if we had a place to poke a little fun at ourselves. Use this thread to post some screen shots or tell a story of times when all those hours laddering and practice add up to... failing miserably. Take these moments of pure fail to sit back, have a laugh, and share it with the community. Here's mine.
I'm currently platinum, so this kind of stuff happens with startling regularity. The best part about this was how long it took me to figure out what was going wrong. Enjoy!
TvT on Cloud Kingdom, he opens banshees and everything APPEARS to working my way, I get a kill on banshee #1:

I arrive at his natural, see no expo, meaning my expo is faster (woot!) and pull back. Banshee #2 gets its fair share of kills before I scan and kill it with my late viking. Not good, but not game ending at a plat level:

So I decide to take the xel naga, and things go down hill from there.
Here you can picture me upping my apm like a pro by spamming commands, but nothing is happening and all my stuff is dying.

I'm like, hmmm, maybe my fingers are wrong; so now you can picture me looking at my hands and very deliberately pressing 6 (my cc command group)-C- and clicking on the screen around the banshee...but nothing happens. I'm like wtf... and I return my screen home to find...

I love this idea. Will keep it in mind when some epic blunder occurs on ladder. But perhaps OP should also make it allow for the opponent's fail?
Edit: Also, the BM thread is about opponent's BM. This sounds like the comic equivalent of posting your own BM, no offence. Last edit: 2012-03-05 01:24:30 |

Nah this should be the POLAR OPPOSITE of the "awesome/confusing BM" thread, you can only report on your OWN FAILURES. Otherwise everyone will just go around looking for ways to criticize their opponent.

I don't want to encourage people posting their flaming, so I just wanted to stick to comical mistakes you've made. I don't find rage flaming very funny. Plus, most of the time it is funnier when you hear what was going on in people's heads before their fail became painfully apparent. |

lol nice job with this one! ^_^, Umm well 2 days ago I was playing a ZvP, and It was like 6 base to 3 base toss and I lost because I tried to win with just mass roaches instead of making macroing properly / broodlords, epic fail. t_T |

I, unfortunately, have hotkeyed lift and select larva both to the same hotkey. So when I'm playing a game of Terran after being used to Zerg, I'll almost always lift my CC a few times the first few games... *sigh* However, it won't lift if you are producing SCVs, so it might be a way to force me to macro.
It's also common for me to chrono a building when I'm supply blocked, but that ones not too big of a deal, since I have trouble spending chrono energy anyway. |

I use dvorak keyboard layout, which means that when my keyboard is set to dvorak, asdf becomes aoeu...
Hence the one game on Scrap Station I played where I went to build my initial scv [S], only to have all my SCV's load into my CC [O] -_-
so I just decided to fly to the island and build my base there, but then lost to void rays minutes later.
Needless to say now when I play SC2 both [O] and [S] are bound to build scv lol |
