| It'd be a good story no matter who wins now. Lucifron, coming out of retirement and crushing face, or BratOK, winning the first tournament he enters with his new team. |

well thats Grubby anno 2012 i guess, so many observers, he saw everything and still he's going for a 3e.... didn't make sense.
Yeah he was caught pretty hard off guard by Luci´s unorthodox style - instead of playing it safe he went for a 3rd and let his tech and macro slip insanely hard in addition somehow. Would have loved if Grubby went for a Blink allin to punish CC first like Mana is doing from time to time successfully. Was an insanely strong 2 base push by Luci - would be interesting to know if he was able to transition out of it or just plain allin. The replay should tell.
his third cc was almost done when the game ended |

It seemed pretty allinish since he scanned double forge and yet he didn't go for upgrades of his own. If the push failed he would be against a 3-3 toss army. |

Lucifron had a third as well, which Grubby took out, but we didn't get to see it. All I saw was that a short while after Lucifron placed his third base where Grubby had a proxy pylon, it disappeared and was changed into a small green dot on the minimap, probably a zealot.
That was around the time Luci had just killed Grubbys third.Last edit: 2012-04-08 00:39:29 |

Yeah it was a all-in basically, if Luci would have lost that battle he would have been so far behind that Grubby just could go and crush him. It just makes this attack even more painful for Grubby.. |

| It was all-in, but it was a smart choice. If he would have kept on the defense and tried to macro up he would have been very behind in upgrades as well as the wasted cloaked banshees. Fortunately for him Grubby went zealot heavy against Terran without charge.. Pretty silly to go zealot heavy at all until Collosi are out. Sentries and Stalkers (if you're going to get blink, why are you only going to make 8-10 stalkers?) would have helped a lot there, not sure why he was banking so much gas, but without a single collosus out the marine marauder all-in is too effective to trade cost effeciently as P. |

| Yes, but it was an 'educated' all in. Lucifron knew he would at least take out the 3. Of course, if he didn't, he was behind. It is like if you see someone triple expand with no units, of course you will attack. It is 'all-in' because if you don't do damage, you are behind in Econ but there is 0% chance of not doing damage. it is like going all-in in poker when you KNOW you have the best hand. |

| Eh what? I went after Thorzain was 2-0 up against BratOK, how the hell did BratOK win the next 3 games? His tvt seemed to be a whole level below Thorzain's. |

Another top 4 finish so soon after the Lone Star Clash is really, really good.
Grubby is one of the most consistent foreigner tosses right now, even if he hasn't gotten a big win yet. |

One of the biggest chokes in a long time, and I'm still super pissed off about it. I thought Thorzain would finally win a LAN event. |

Honestly I take more negative things about Lucifron doing so well after being away for so long than I do positive things. It's a great accomplishment for him but I think it speaks pretty badly about the state of foreign SC2 scene. Hopefully he sticks around because there just aren't that many great terrans outside of Korea. |
