Hello~
I wrote some blogs and guides back when DotA2 was pretty closed, but I wanted to include this little video in the Back to Basic's guide I wrote, but it wasn't done then and I wanted the blog out. Here it goes;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZJWcHbuzO8 This is obviously not done perfectly, but it's you get the concept. I hope it's useful to at least some of you.Last edit: 2012-03-12 07:09:30 |

Anyone who can quickly clear a creep wave. Leshrac is particularly good with this, especially after you get a few levels into him. If you can clear a wave quickly with lightning and land your stun the minions + edict is a guaranteed kill. |

| Any hero with a stun/slow/disable of some sort pretty much, even heroes like skeleton king can do it just fine, basic idea is to just engage when you have a creep advantage, as creeps do a lot of damage earlygame. |

Actually the idea is that inexperienced players fail to realize that you can clear the creeps and suddenly have them caught.
Sand king, Lion are good at this as well |

this pretty much. heroes like drow are limited in these kinds of situations if they dont know what to expect also, all you can do in that particular situation is stay back, or dodge the arrow, or silence since its pretty obvious what potm's intent is |

| You can also do it if you have a creep advantage and the inexperienced player doesn't realize he has nothing to gain by staying, but just stays because it's normal to be with the creepwave. Vengeful Spirit is also very powerful to do this. |

creep advantage is a big part of laning.
lots of people don't know this so it's a good little video to make people think about how they control the creeps in their lane. |

isnt a thread too much for this? i bet there are ppl who got warned for threads like this or at least get their threads closed this is a 1min video, with an ooooold "trick" i dont even like to call it a trick, cuz its simple logic. so am i allowed to make a thread with a 1min video showing a venge stun after sk stun resolves and calling it " another simple dota trick" "chain your stun to get the maximum stun duration! " :D:D:D:D:D |

What?
It's not only "simple logic herp derp lol", it's clearly a big big part of laning that, actually, most new players don't even think about. This will not only help peoples to get easy kill against noob, but will actually help noob to understand how this can be used against them and how they must be really careful during the laning phase and pretty much during any trade of blow. That's actually really important and have nothing to do with your "venge stun" bullshit, sorry. Pretty much every players on the beta right now are from LoL, and it's almost a non existent factor in that game.
So please, stop trying to link everything to the fact that there is double standard on TL. Yes, there is a lot of double standard on TL, it's even stated in the rules... but that's have nothing to do with that post, since it's actually really a helpful video for a LOT of new players (and there is a lot of new Dota players on Dota 2 at the moment.)
If you can link a thread that actually had more quality and useful content to it that was closed for "not having enough content to the OP", link it or else, just shut up about it.
Nic vid. Showed it to two of my newbies friends. I was trying to explain it on Skype to them during a game after they got killed by Skeleton King and Crystal Maiden that were basically bursting the creeps super quickly to harass them afterward... but it was not so easy to explain, since i'm actually not english. The video worked great for that purpose.

Not bad vid, but should actually belong in any halfway good tutorial. Creep advantage is about as advanced a concept as "We all cast our ultimates on them and then they´ll be dead"
(This is the reason why it is pretty important to know what all the spells in the game do.)

This is not really a trick but rather a technique. But this has been done all the way back in DotA1 and works wonder in the early levels if you're in a solo lane against someone solo since people will generally be less careful. Due to the worse camera operation in DotA1 i would often do this trick when my enemy had to retreat and they'd normally not see the arrow come untill it was too late |
