Dude, you just don't know what you're talking about. That's why no one can take you seriously.
There's a reason why LoL easily has more viewers than SC2. It's because the community is large and people like the game. That's all that needs to happen for a sport to be successful. Don't go making up dumb criterion and flash yourself off as some kind of e-sports academic because the facts are pretty simple.

it's skill requirements are alot harder than LOL at the very top.
also it follows the BW recipe for more hours put in practice ---> more skill.
plus its made by valve...
only downside is its not rly spectator friendly as a game ranges between 25-80 min to play with long downtimes.
Very interesting post.I mean yeah sure there have been alot of blind fanboy posts about how Dota is harder than Lol but you take it to the next step comparing it to BW. I mean from your post history it's obvious you came to this forum for SC2. How do you people manage to talk so freely about things you have no idea of?That's what I want to know.
Why aggressive? All he said is in BW more practice = better results, and in DotA more practice = better results. He's not wrong about that.
So I guess what we can take away from these posts is more practice = better results...
Somehow when the post includes lines like these "it's skill requirements are alot harder than LOL at the very top." I think his agenda is to passively attack LoL rather promote Dota.
Gosh he really does such a good job hiding the the attack on LoL in his praise for Dota too, except for the part where he posted in a LoL thread anyway.
This is not a "LoL" thread, it's a "Popularity chart in korea" thread.
Well sorry I just got confused when I saw the First word of the thread title. Figured it was about LoL.
And Then There Where None

ZnF...please do not fight the elitism. It is not worth it. D:
And after reading this thread, I am tempted to make a post about how Otello is ruining Chess and how Chess is a man's game and everyone should play it and Otello is a shit game that deserves to have no competition because it is a noobs game.

No one else knows more than me though as well, we're all just opinions. My criterion are part of my opinion and whether or not it's correct isn't proven yet, thus you have no proof that im wrong or that your right.
It's as simple as that, and you can use whatever emotional well-being means that you want to make yourself feel better for flaming me but in the end I'll be the random poster with a random logical argument and you'll just be the guy who couldn't successfully participate in it.

I think my favorite conclusion from this thread is that while playing lots of LoL doesnt actually make you better at the game. Cuz, you know, everyone who comes in and plays a single game is instantly a tournament calibur player.

I totally agree. I wish people could participate in 'scholarly debate'. Yet some can't.
For example:
....THAT IS THE PROBLEM BEING DISCUSSED.... I'm at least giving reasons as to why people hate the fucking game... ....You're just hating the fact that people fucking hate it... it makes this fucking business look stupid.........But casual garbage that is trying to be called competitive is a joke...... I just feel sorry for all the avid fans of the lol scene when they realize their game IS stagnant, IS casual, and ISNT worthy for competition............It doesn't fucking matter if you're correct or not. Engaging in the activity is the important part. Fuck......

If one piece of bad luck will lose you the game, then you do not deserve to win it.

You know, it's less funny when you kind of give it all away. :/

The real conclusion is everyone who plays lots and lots of LoL at some point won't make them better at the game in which case there will be no way to determine who the best truly is.
This conclusion is countered by the fact that this opinion can't exactly be proven correct and thus for now can't be proven incorrect, thus the game can't be considered uncompetitive until proven true, in which in that situation is considered an esports game among other various factors such as number of competitors and other various issues.
In which case said first conclusion is proven false until professional play proves it to be true in which case the prediction in the first place proves the first conclusion true.
If you follow that, hard to say since your post was pretty off base.

lol, a lot of scholarly debate clubs etc are fine with swearing but yup you're right you totally showed that my logic is improper...Since swearing totally doesn't emphasize my meanings.

no. in sc you only need a basic understanding, bronze level is even enough to enjoy it. look the fame husky and hd got in the beta. a lot of casuals were watching it on a daily basis and almost no one really had a clue whats going on in depth. it's still enjoyable on that level.
in lol, even if you spent hundreds of hours into it, it is hard to enjoy watching games. too much heroes, too much abilitys, too much items, too much going on and at the same time there is nothing really going on 90% of the time.
