Hey there everyone!
Some of you may remember the Antarctic Cup. Well, I’m pleased to announce that it has been taken over by the Swiss team, mYinsanity, and will be renamed the mYinsanity cup! This will be the first of this new incarnation of the tournament series. With the support from everyone over at mYinsanity, we’re all hoping to make this cup a growing success, starting with this tournament boasting a prize pool of $500 (which will hopefully continue to grow as the tournament progresses). We have huge plans for the future, and I look forward to expressing them to you soon, but for now:
We’re really excited to announce that the mYinsanity Cup #1 will be held on Saturday, 31st March at 19:00 CEST. It is open to all leagues. The prize pool will be $500 divided up as follows:
1st. $300
2nd. $125
3rd. $75
It will be hosted on www.z33k.com at the link listed at the bottom of the page. It will be a single elimination tournament starting with a Best of 1 format, moving into Best of 3 in the Round of 16, and finally Best of 5 in the Semifinals and 7 in the Finals. The tournament will be live-cast by PengWin and a special guest caster to be announced sometime in the future (will be edited into the OP), and a rebroadcast will happen with PengWin on the following day, featuring some of the games not cast from the earlier rounds, as well as the Third Place playoff and a rebroadcast of the Finals. Both will be broadcast on www.twitch.tv/myinsanitytv.
We look forward to a great competition with some awesome players and games, and hope you’ll join us for the event!
