Okay, it looked like a case of people panicking about not seeing Korra on TV guide this week and somebody likely trolling me by linking me to LeSean's facebook page which I couldn't actually navigate.
The post in question, which I am currently unable to verify, is, "This'll suffice, during the break in new Korra episodes ( This weeks episode will be the last of new eps for some reason)." |

I wonder if that's just building to the "bigger fights" where she'll use them, or whether this links in to a personal issue with Korra? (character development~)
aang never learned the lightning or metal bending either. I think it jsut shows she is far from a master. (which makes sense otherwise it would be insta-kill all baddies and gg).

He has already, though. There was that time when Korra brought up Katarra and he just flipped. I get what you and he are saying though; that instance was for comedic effect moreso than actual ohsnapshitsgonnagodown.

| Am I the only one that thinks its a little ridiculous that the anti-bending people all have ridiculous acrobatic martial arts skills. It seems like every fight instead of waiting to see which bender comes out with a better move or more force behind their attack (like the first show when it was bender vs bender....) we have a situation where these little minions just dance around and then punch punch fight over. It just kinds of ruins the fights in my opinion as there is no strategy involved its just "will this minion take some ice to the face easy peasy or will the director decide that this minion will be the one to do some triple flip kick into dibilitating punches and disable the bender. I straight up don't like the non- bender vs bender fight scenes that right now seem to be the bread and butter of this show. |

Well to be fair, the benders haven't really encountered specialized anti-benders before and are only trained to fight other benders. To put it in DOTA terms, these grunts are basically anti-carries that dodge all of the bender's skill shots and destroy then up close. If anything, these new technological weapons like gas grenades and elictricity batons make the fighting more interesting than the overplayed fire vs water vs earth.
Also on a side note, I find it funny how the electric batons that the anti-benders use are very likley powered by the lightning benders at the power plant. Screw electricity! It opresses us! |

I don't like the anti-benders vs bender fights right now, but there's a lot of potential. It's still early on and Korra hasn't completely figured out a way to deal with them.
It was the same in "The Last Avatar." One of my favorite fight scenes of the whole show was Suki against Ty Lee. I can only imagine how better it would be with Korra mastering Air Bending. |

Just got done re-watching the episodes, before the 5th tomorrow. And i have to say, the music is fucking spectacular. When you watch an ep for the first time your normally consumed in the story.
