Ever wondered how to stream in decent quality with this bad of internet?
If so, You have come to the correct place!
Requirements:
Internet with around 0.5mb upload, and a medium spec PC.
My PC is:
My PC Specification: Processor: Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz Socket 1155 Processor CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 Memory/RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz Graphics Card: Asus GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini HDMI PCI-E Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V LX Socket 1155 Onboard graphics output 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard Hard Drivers: 1TB + 250GB PowerSupply: OCZ 600W
Anything around that specifications will be fine!
Download Xsplit here: www.xsplit.com
Set up xsplit with the follow settings to your account,
Use 1280x720 resolution and 20 FPS - Set the FPS higher if you want, this is just what works for me.
Heres a example of the quality you will recieve!

Why are you using Speex instead of AAC? Audio quality will be terrible.
|
Big thanks for this Lawsonz, was having trouble with xsplit for a long time regarding quality, this helped me out a bunch <3

I haven't paid for xsplit yet, only codec you can use when you haven't paid for it now

I wouldnt suggest using 720p res on such a low bitrate stream.
I myself used to have a .45 upload speed, i'd stream with 350 bitrate at my resolution scaled down 1/2 (so 800x450 for my 1600x900 resolution game, less pixelation) and it would look pretty good with an fps of 30.
I've recently upgraded to a .8 upload and stream at 600 bitrate and things look fairly good.

hmm my cpu is 2410m, and i already tried those specs.. Sadly because its laptop, its still not smooth unlike urs I'll have to reduce some bitrates to create like urs. Thanks for the thread though!

i offer you my babies lawsonnz
to be on topic, i had a question, does the FPS change affect the bandwidth or CPU?
|
How do you set FPS and resolution? Edit: Also as someone with a pretty powerful computer, but limited upload speed, what can I change if anything? Edit2: Nvm I din't realize you meant resolution and frame rate of the xsplit window

A PC with a 2500K is not "a medium spec PC". It's high-end.
And considering your upload speed & CPU, you should be using a slower preset - as slow as possible - as well as overclocking the CPU if haven't already.
|
Is this possible with internet worse than that?

Fps change will affect CPU more afaik.

You could try but the quality would be worse.

Hm.. I would say its medium-high end.
How does the presets work?
