For anyone who was wondering, these are all the 'sets' or 'tiers' of basic armor (think hard leather armor v breast plate vs chain mail vs loricated plate etc in D2). No models for the Unique & Set items yet. |

I guess people can't help thinking of WoW when they read the word "tier". There are some similarities indeed, but WoW had many sets. And each class in Diablo 3 has 16 sets. How can you NOT expect some of them looking like each other?

Seems kind of odd how you go from nearly naked to pretty stacked armor back to semi-naked around tier 10, back to full stacked.
Just hope it doesn't turn into everyone running wearing tier 16 only

Was only 2 sets of the Barbarian that I liked.
I liked the Demon Hunter sets overall.
Wizard, not at all.
Monk, 1 set.

yeah pretty much. You can revamp the graphics obviously but the style couldnt be more different. The armor is super shiney and colorful and the shoulders are giant. D2's armor was more based on realistic armor and I thought it looked much cooler. |

| Where are the capes? Part of the wish to play the Demonhunter was based on the look of the skill-videos where she has a bow and a cape. Considering the armor, i find them to be too much over the top again. |

Why does the barbarian have hoofs? What is the purpose of that? I'm getting an idea that Blizzard artists barely finished high school, but that's not the case. They've all been through college, they must have, otherwise how the hell were they staffed into Blizzard? So instead of picking up ANY historical book with drawings in it like D2 artists obviously did, they just let their underdeveloped fantasies spin wild. Again, what is the purpose of hoofs? How does a structure of a human foot benefit from being put into a hoof? Does it increase balance or speed? I have an idea for Blizzard artists: make a couple of hoofs, put them on and try to sprint in them. Tip: call an ambulance before you do.
All hopes for renowned Blizzard balance team to make D3 interesting to play, because artists failed terribly. |

| Barb Tier 14 is fucking amazing. Tiers 13 and 16 are pretty good too. Overall, I like the barb's sets more than any other class, but that might be my bias considering I will be rolling a barb first. Last edit: 2012-03-21 19:39:43 |
