IGN Pro League is thrilled to be able to bring you another unique StarCraft II tournament! This one is called Tournament of Champions, and is a 16-man, double elimination tournament for a $12,000 prize pool! Each team from the IPL Team Arena Challenge was asked to pick one player from their roster to represent them in this global tournament, that will span the month of March. The WINNER of the Tournament of Champions will receive a spot in our live, open qualifier at IPL4 at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Official Home of the IPL as well as an all expenses paid flight and hotel stay for the event!
The time has come for our Losers Final and GRAND Final matches of the IGN Pro League Tournament of Champions!
When: April 2 2012 17:00 PDT[local] (we will also have a European re-broadcast as usual at April 3 2012 9:30 PDT)
Format
This double-elimination tournament features 16 players from around the world and is an best of 5 format. The first match is for the Losers Final! The winner will move on to the Grand Final and the loser will take third place! Following that is the Grand Final, and the winner will receive $5,000 and a free trip to IPL4 to play in the Open Bracket! If Jjakji should lose the first Grand Final series, another series will be played, as he has not lost a series yet and the tournament is double elimination. Keep in mind that the top 8 spots receive prize money!

They are using hte time function that translate the date into your timezone(So 3. at 2 AM), it is infact the 2. in the US when this is being broadcasted |

So....ya, since creator and hero are already going, does jjakji kind of default win? (for the trip ofc, money will be given accordingly)

No Jjakji still needs to win. If Hero wins, his trip is paid for, but he's going regardless, along with his entire team. Creator's trip is already paid for, but I suppose he could win one of his teammates an Open Bracket spot perhaps. Basically the second possibility you said.
