| Good to see that canada gets some love, from what I remember from the barcraft shots the crowd is atleast as energetic as the US crowd. Last big esports event in canada that I can remember is MLG Torronto in 2008, so it's about time you guys get another major event :D Also I love the time zone, pretty good for EU viewers as well. |

I'll be there, likely with my Brother and nephew - my Nephew (12 years old) is REALLY looking forward to it - he only gets to Watch tourneys via TL when I am over kid-sitting - otherwise it is a SC2 free household.
The only Question I have:
When and Where is the finals taking place?Last edit: 2012-04-09 10:52:36 |
| | Win. That's all that matters. Win. Nobody likes to lose. |

This will not be the last event in Toronto thats for sure.
My Prediction
The event will be held at the International Centre (TONS of hotels nearby, 10 minute drive from the airport they will 100% fly in to, history of great events hosted there)
There is going to be a MASSIVE turnout
It is going to be the loudest finals you've ever heard
If HuK wins, the f'ing place will erupt
If you host it, they will come
*high five* Not only do we live like 5-10 minutes apart but I agree with everything you said! |

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I've been to the International Centre quite a few times for work and it would definitely be a good venue. Also, MTCC might be more on the expensive side?
MTCC for sure would be on the expensive side. Almost no chance it happens there as it's also terribly inconvenient to get there from yyz and whatever hotels are nearby are crazy expensive. |

| I'm seriously considering coming from the Maritimes for this. If I can convince my fiance that this is more important that anything else this summer I might just make it. If not maybe there will be an event on the east coast and north of the border. I can only hope. |

Hey man, I'm pretty sure Porter has a deal on right now for 50% off all their flights for trips before September 4th. They did it to match Westjets deal, which ended a few weeks ago. Their normal prices are higher but at 50% off it should be cheaper than anyone else.
Edit 2!: It says on their website that you have to book by today! Last edit: 2012-04-09 21:59:07 |

It's kind of lolz, they bring a big esports event to Toronto right as I move to Ottawa.
But I'll probably be back for this! |

I imagine if this season is done right and there is a big enough place for the finals, they will be the most attended event yet. There are so many Canadians who have a pent up need to go see a live tournament but haven't been able to yet. I know I'll be there.
Not only that, but Toronto is close enough to a lot of the northern and eastern states, so a bunch of Americans could also turn out. |
