From the days of Jungle basin and Steppes of War and XNC, we have moved onto bigger maps, and few maps which you can consder "strongly terran favored" Last Season I've vetoed the following maps:
1. TDA: The lack of a ramp and being a map of 4 gate heaven for toss and mutalisk heaven 2. Cloud Kingdom LE: Just never got into this map 3. Metalopolis: TvZ hell on cross positions, with its wide open areas and zerg able to have the other passage for brutal coutner attacks and fast bases.
With the addition of the new maps, what will your map vetoes be? What were they in season 6 and will it change? Just wanted to hear from the terran folks

Daybreak and tal darim altar for me. Daybreak is sucha bad map for terran imo. There's absolutely no drop air for my medivacs to sit around and wait for good drop timings. The map is big and very hard to stop protoss or zerg from taking too many bases without punishment. I just hate that map. Tal darim altar has always been hard for me, i've veto'd it for the longest time. the other maps seem ok with me

I veto Korhal Compund LE because I honestly hate it taking a third is so hard and I feel that every time I take it I am just waiting to get countered attacked.

Taldarim cloud and meta I play random but XvZ is by far my worst match up

I honestly don't know why I keep playing Tal darim. It's not very easy to defend pressure in the early game if i open 1 rax fe as it is on other maps, distances make it slightly challenging in tvp, 2 paths into the nat and 3rd for counter attacks in tvz... it's just pretty because it's green ):
I'll never ever play metal on ladder again, tvz for obvious reasons, and dealing with tanks on that map is a nightmare.
korhal because i've never actually taken a 4th on that map, the ways a zerg can abuse mobility on that map is frightening. I also got 6 pooled+drone all-ined on it so I have nightmares about that.
Probably one of the new maps as well, like daybreak or Ohana; they just feel icky to me

A small group of units can easily circle around and attack the isolated tanks from the highground. I find the area behind the minerals of the third much more effective to place my tanks, especially in TvZ, as it makes it extremely hard for zerglings to get a good surface area on them.

Metalopolis, as it's too old and there isn't much space to attack. ( hate that in TvP ) Taldarim, as getting a 4th is very hard and akward. I like TvZ on it but TvP here hurts my brain.
I love khoral tho. People are always so exited about sieging the 3rd, but actually, sieging the 4th from the highground middle bases ( usually zerg 5th or your own third ) is soooooo good. And reapers opening kick ass on it too.

Metal, korhal and ohana... those maps are just kind of bad and arent gna stay around so why play them? also people who voted metropolis are fucking stupid thats like the best terran map ever... atleast TvZ wise and people voting taldarim l2play macro games.
daybreak is a nice and balanced map i really like it

hm idk what to ban as third map... i know a lot of people hate Metal TvZ and say it's hard but I find it quite easy with mech there, and even in GSL TvZ was slightly favored to T, once you get to lategame you can drop left and rigth so easily on that map
entombed is weired but it's used in GSL and it's not thaaat bad, but still weired
daybreak TvZ is a bit hard, at least for mech
daybreak TvP is quite interesting though, there's some marine banshee thor ghost etc. compositions that can work on that
i really don't know of a third map to ban >.< I think metropolis -- it's weired and doesn't feel fun when I play on it. I feel like the map was supposed to have both players take 5 base quickly and keep throwing armies at each other until it runs out and then move towards the center with lower income battles trying to take the bases there, but I don't think that has really ever actually worked...? Usually one player dies before the 5 bases are used up. Good map for mech and/or air though, but still it's quite boring...

I'm going to veto korhal and tal'darim because they are terrible maps imo. metalopolis is a perfect map for turtle zerg and toss also. But im actually thinking about just leaving them unvetoed and playing them anyway simply because they are also tourny maps.

This season's bans: 1) Metalopolis (TvZ, One base centered TvP play) 2) Tal Darim Altar (Fuck TvP here, TvZ can get brutal as well) 3) Entombed Valley (Would seem like a good map until you play against some retarded greedy protoss turtle play which close third makes way easier)
Season 7 bans: 1) Metalopolis (Same reasons) 2) Tal' Darim Altar (Same reasons) 3) Metropolis ( Another Tal Darim, forced macro games against both Zerg and Protoss doesn't look good for any Terran.)

1) Tal'Daro, Altar - just hate it. 2) Entombed Valley (I dont know, but on this map I have not enough space for placing my buildings in macro game, cuz of little space its hard to place buildings, to not block something and hard to defend muta harass.) 3) Korhal Compound (gold too far away)

Metalopolis and Tal'Darim Altar carry over. (Metal is old, I don't like it. Tal'Darim... well, according to SC2Gears, I have a 28% win rate - lower than any other map by significant margin. No ramp.)
Not sure what else. I'm not sure about Korhal Compound, but I don't not like it. I think Metropolis could be good. I'll have to see what happens at the start of Season 7.

For me its gonna be TDA,Korhal,Ohana. The reasons are there is no 3rd base on this maps for terran.

why so much hate against korhal? I play bomber's fast third and I dont remember when I lost TvZ on this map.
