People really need to read some more science fiction. These things are really cool, but we gotta recognize the path that leads into the lairs and traps of the baddies. To do that we gotta discern who the baddies are. Are the baddies REALLY the ones that would let me watch all those BW VOD's from 2007-2009, at any point in my day? Shiez, they OWN youtube.
I was just talking to mah Dad about this. Insight: you can't backup Cloud stroage, if they want to shut you out or delete your files, they can. Blackmail with a new twist: "I'll delete your entire life." |

Well you'll notice right away that the guy have the glasses so it won't be weird that he's talking to himself, same thing with phones. |

I wonder if face recognition would be good enough to have an app for people's names to float above their head.
Never forget someone's name again. |

I can see this being very cool and very dangerous. I mean that much distracting you when you are just moving around, people get killed all the time for looking at their phones just imaging how bad this is going to be.
And I would guess that the glasses are going to make everything have a weird tint to them. We'll have to see though, looks very cool nonetheless. |

Never forget someone's name again.
If they linked Facebook or Google+ in, then you could dodge the facial recognition entirely and have headsets share your ID with friends (or everyone if you're fine with that and hate introductions).

On a serious note, I don't see this happening anytime soon and even if it did, it would probably be ridiculously priced. |

People still look retarded with bluetooth headsets. At least its visible you have a phone in your hands when you walk by someone and say "Hi!" |

that only blocks out their sound. this blocks out looking at them. only three more senses (taste, touch and smell) to go and then we are completely isolated!! love modern life. =D |

I get you now. I was thinking about it in terms of other people rarely approaching you in the street if you're visibly wearing headphones, even if they aren't connected to anything. Used to use that as an avoid the creeps strategy when I was commuting >4h/d for school on public transport. |
