Does anybody know where to buy a cheap key for the SEA Version of SC2 (Australia & New Zealand)?
I took a look at ebgames yesterday... $100 :/
However, are there any issues in terms of highping when playing on NA or Asia servers from Australia?
Cheers |

| I'd recommend checking out sc2sea.com for more info. That's the main site for that community I believe. I'm pretty sure you can get it cheaper than $100. Good luck. |

| Possibly downloading the Bigfoot networks region switch app. When you select a different version it'll tell you your ping |

I have better ping to SEA than NA, but SEA has some connection issues for me, sometimes I get spikes or just can't connect. General response times are faster though.
Korean server is best for both, I exclusively play on Korea now. You lose having native English language for everything, but with a relocaliser, you only miss out on a bunch of text that you can figure out what it says by yourself easy enough. Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you're buying an account and all you care about is playing StarCraft, then go Korean.
It's also way cheaper (full Taiwan account is $38ish I think? Taiwan client connects to Korean server) |

With ping it seems to depend on which provider you have, some people have good ping to NA, some to SEA, some to both. I seem to be lucky enough to have good ping anywhere but your milage may vary. It was discussed a fair bit on the blizzard forums when sc2 first came out, you may be able to google around and find it or something similar.
Re Korean account I thought it was hard to get one unless you were Korean? Taiwan may be easier though. |

| Where are you from? If you are from any SEA nation(not aus) then buying in stores will be cheaper AFAIK |

All sea accounts come with a joined NA access free. as for ping run a tracert in cmd to us.battle.net or sea.battle.net
If you don't know how to do that:
1) search for "cmd" on pc, then open it 2) type "tracert us.battle.net" and hit enter. 3) ignore the first few pings but the later ones should all be generally around the same range if you have stable net and will give you an idea of your ping.
Oh also sc2sea.com or mwave.com are both the best places to buy from Australia.Last edit: 2012-04-08 23:41:49 |

| Yeah shopping around is generally a good idea. I got my SEA edition for SGD 80 when bnet price was 100 because it was the display copy and the box was roughed up! Not really an issue when all I wanted was the CD key. |

That is correct. The SEA version is the only version that allows you to select the realm at login (NA or SEA). |
