The lack of LAN in Starcraft 2 strikes again with the latest victim being MarineKing in the GSTL.
Near the end of an intense back and forth battle between PartinG and MarineKing consisting of constant action, incredible micro and the closest battles I have seen, the dreaded 'Waiting for Player' screen popped up. PartinG had just managed to push the Prime player back to his base and was attacking some barracks and the game ended by a drop out.
After a little bit it was announced that it was an internet issue and not a problem with the computer gear and the audience began to chant together "We want LAN". The referees got to work and after a 5 minute break a re-game was called.
I have no doubt that Blizzard will be receiving many E-Mails from everyone watching that LAN needs to be introduced. When tournaments with thousands of dollars on the line are put into this situation you have to begin to ask. | Well as a company obviously their wallets... this issue has been beaten to death though. Is lan good for sc2? Absolutely. Will we see it in the near future? Probably not. |

Computer lost connectivity to the local network during the MKP vs Parting. LAN mode would not have helped with this issue.

| Blizzard always says that their patches have reflected community feedback. I say that if we still care about having LAN, we should have a thread that says "Why No LAN?" and it should be a top thread every single day. That way we can say WE CARE ABOUT LAN. |

I would never use LAN if it were implemented. It's not for us. It's for these tournaments the lack of LAN is ruining. It just stunts the entire experience when that window pops up and you spend the next 30 minutes trying to determine whether to regame or not.

| Can't believe that re-game decision, what a complete fail of jurisprudence by the judges. At these high level tournaments with so much cash on the line, decisions like this can't go unpunished. I'm personally calling for the resignation of all tournament referees who took part in the decision, and for Dustin Browder's for not including LAN in the game. My heart goes out to Parting who was robbed of a win against one of the best Terrans, and to Startale for however their tournament experience has been diminished. I am seriously considering boycotting GOM after this, and I am definitely never visiting Mok Dong ever. |

STQ/Parting fan's mad. It was no one's game, yeah Parting was only at his entrance. MKP had racks all over the place with 3 saturated bases. He can easily sandwich him if he went up the ramp.
