Better chances of a Townie getting picked this way. 2.) All serious candidates get put on a list. If you are notoriously bad as a player and are known for fucking up the Town DO NOT EVEN APPLY. Lazy scumhunters and spammers especially. Screw the confirming people by PM stuff @ sandroba. We don't know your alignment and what you're doing comes off as role fishing. Whatever happened in past games is not relevant for this one. That goes for all you. Let's hurry up and get this captain vote done today. Don't spam up the thread either because I'll be damned if you idiots crash us into Planet Mafia on Day 1. 1. How do we verify that whoever does the randomizing actually makes it random? 2. Isn't choosing sandroba: a) Just as good because he's been randomly assigned to either scum or town and b) Better because we know that he is good as town and bad as scum and so far is about as active as we could expect a town sandroba to be?

I'm not in out-of-thread communication with anyone yet, except briefly with sandroba to tell him why I would probably never see him on skype. Looks like Zentor shot his candidancy in the face with his flip-flopping Mitt Romney-esque, "I'll say whatever you want me to say to get elected". Who do we have now? sandroba or GMarshal? Can someone let me know if I missed a candidate? I've read and played more games with sandroba than GM so I'm more comfortable voting leaving my vote on sandroba for now as I think I'd get a better read on his actions than GM's.

@froggynoddy: You're focusing on actions rather than motives: On April 14 2012 18:16 froggynoddy wrote: But seriously I don't like Sandroba's stance on PM-ing and the Captaincy in general. I also don't like GM's response to my question: I don't see the Sandroba town thing, plus surely at this early stage the only town read that could be described as in any way strong is yourself. You don't like that GM is voting for sandroba because sandroba is GM's strongest town read? That doesn't make sense. The main reasons why I'm voting for Ace was because him and GM seemed to make the most sense to me, but I had mssgivings about the GM vote on Sandroba thing, but I have since asked Doc whether you can vote for yourself. I may change my opinion once he answers. Whether or not Doc answers you doesn't matter. GM never once said that he was voting for sandroba because of a mechanic that didn't permit him. He clearly said it was because sandroba was his biggest town read. Also, consider this: At this point, if either GM or sandroba were to switch their own vote to themselves, would that not be highly suspicious? As it is they cancel each other out which is what should happen in the first place. If one switches without the other, don't you think they'd be seen as padding their own vote totals? @Kurumi, Acrofales, talismania: I really appreciate you guys sharing things in the thread. Please continue doing so as I agree it's good to have as much info in thread as possible. @sandroba: Why are/were Maverick and l10f your most suspicious reads? l10f has hardly posted anything which means you're probably in PM convo with him. Acrofales has said that he's having a hard time finding anyone who's talked to him. What do you know about l10f that the rest of us don't? Since I'm not as invested in the PM world I'm getting less of a town vibe from sandro and leaning more towards GM. Especially stating that l10f and maverick were his most suspicious targets. @GM, sandroba, ACE: Who is your best scum read at this moment? I need to be an informed voter.

You must be a 3rd party or something because it seems like you're playing for no-one's team.

The bar is pretty low.. At this point I would be happy if people would just post a general opinion on gmarsh and his odd quietness/lurking recently. (last night he backed out of skype with people or something.. so it started way before today.. thats very "un gmarsh" imo) His lynch on froggynoddy (and him consequently flipping town) was a bit random but not totally unexpected. Sounds like most of this can be attributed to some sort of eye-related injury. I'm inclined to believe he's telling the truth.

He doesn't want responsibility for the Zentor bandwagon, because he knows it will end in a mislynched townie. He defends Jackal hard. Kurumi votes for Jackal as Captain first. The bandwagon doesn't pick up, so he wastes his vote for Talismania. He also votes for me as a lynch and never switches to the alien overlord. In summary, he defends two people we know are scum, l10f and Jackal; attacks somebody who we know to be pro town, sandroba, and tries to start a bandwagon lynch against me without taking responsibility!! I'm wondering why nobody has seen this yet. Just sayin'. All this and no vote. What gives?

For now my vote is on sinani.

I agree it's possible, but I'd still like to know why MrZentor didn't follow up his case with a vote. Seems like he was a little hesitant to back up what I would agree is a good case with his actions, which is a scum move - trying not to stick his neck out too far. If he's town he'll have a good reason though.

I forgot to account for the fact that he is already under scrutiny. Quite logical Vayesh
