| Just for clarification, what exactly does "breadcrumbing" mean? I know in the rules it says you can't breadcrumb your role, but in reading over other mafia games, I see many references to players breadcrumbing other things. |

There is nothing against breadcrumbing your role. What is against the rules is breadcrumbing the specific phrasing of your role PM. Breadcrumbing means leaving hints or clues in your posts about other things. what is NOT against the rules is hiding the sentence "I am A DT" in your posts. What is against the rules is using the way words are organized in your role PM to confirm yourself.
Basically using outside the game methods to confirm your alignment or others alignments is a no no. |

What do you mean by nothing is secure? Aren't the mafia sure of who their teammates are and are not?

Its fine now, When the game starts it might be a good idea to.
Town players cannot PM each other at all. This is a no PM game.
By nothing is secure I mean if the Mafia choose to use IRC to communicate, I cannot assure that it will be secure from other people breaking into it, they have to take those measures themselves.

Might be a good idea to make a guide to the acronyms. I managed to google most of them, but it's a hard enough game without having to google some of the important acronyms. Here's a start:
VT = Vanilla Townie. Basic town player with no special abilities.
DT = Detective.
KP = Kill Power. If accompanied by a number, the number of people that role/faction can kill at night.
SK = Serial Killer. (not in this game)
EBWOP = Edit By Way Of Post. Because editing is strictly forbidden, use this acronym in a doublepost to indicate an edit.
EBWODP = Edit By Way of Double Post. Same as above.
OMGUS = Oh My God U Suck. When someone accuses someone else based ONLY on the fact that that someone accused him first.
WIFOM = Wine In Front Of Me. A reference to + Show Spoiler [this] + scene from the princess bride. Meaning: a load of useless speculation about the motives of others, that can neither be confirmed nor denied and is not aiding the town objective of hunting scum.
FoS = Finger of Suspicion. When you don't want to vote for someone, but want to make it very clear that he/she is under suspicion of being mafia.
LYLO = LYnch or LOse. Situation in which the town has to lynch a mafia, in order to not lose the game.
MYLO = MislYnch and LOse. Softcore version of the above: town can suffer a no-lynch, but a mislynch costs them the game (cannot happen in this game).Last edit: 2012-04-12 03:34:46 |
