I doesn't matter if it's the Malaysian power distribution company or somebody having to take a dump, this isn't acceptable. Teams should each get 5 minutes total timeout allowed for the game and be forced to play regardless of who's online when they run out. This would present a better incentive for them to take a piss before the game or actually take care to find an appropriate location for to play from.
power outage, team should get dissqualified right ? someone gets sick before a match at the international, no milion for you !
What I'm suggesting isn't just some random cruelty for it's own sake. There are literally tens of thousands of viewers watching this, if you can't maintain reasonable tight schedule they'll switch to something else. And without consistent viewership you can't get prizepools high enough to sustain a viable pro scene, so in the end players themselves would lose. Look at any other sport, have you seen football match postponed because one of the key players had injury? Have a substitute ready or be prepared to forfeit the match, it's simple. |

They made a plan. The guy drove to another location to play. You have had football games postponed because of weather and outbreaks of sickness. Which are both akin to power outages for gaming. Last edit: 2012-05-06 23:17:19 |

I've never witnessed an already started football match, or any other team sport for that matter, postponed or significantly delayed due to problems with only one of the players. |

There's a difference. There's no equivalent of power running out for only one player in football, except maybe someone getting injured.
If there's a solution avalible, then why not?
I think this would be like a football player getting injured, they have him checked. And if he's fine he'll just keep playing, just like this.Last edit: 2012-05-06 23:28:47 |
