Makes me believe they don't really have players on the development team. I mean they already have ghosts for nukes to make people move siege lines. It would also be a bit weird if the turret was indirect fire and make the game feel less "starcrafty". It would probably be built defensively against tank pushes making the game even more gridlocked.

I personally loved the siege lines of SC2. It makes each of the matchups different in its feel, and gives it more of a chess-like quality, focusing on long-term strategic decision on which territory to take, just like BW TvT. Sometimes, it would be boring, but other times, it would give birth to the best of games, notably Flash vs. FBH on Medusa.

And, guys, the game is still not even in the beta phase, so please don't act like this will be the final product and whine about how much it will suck.

I want another factory unit that will make mech a strong late game strat. Something that helps a pure mech army actually get a good amount of power for all of the mobility that it is sacrificing. Maybe just regular spider mines instead of floating barrage bombs

Wait is Blizz Dota real? Wasn't it some April fools joke by Blizz or something?
Starcraft 2 was designed to have a best race. You play the worst one.
so happy the shreader is gone, but I really don't agree with the phonex range negating the need for the tempest.. in the blizzcon build while totally OP the tempest gave P players to go stargate without having to build robo units aswell and allowed you to be an 'air protoss' with gateway units in tow... this is something phonex range dsnt at all allow and simply makes them a little better to deal with muta's...
...some good changes and some interesting ones... I wish they would just bring out a beta for us to play around with but by the sounds of the changes they have made and are still making, i can't see a beta being anywhere close to being ready...

The tempest was a powerful splash anti-air capital ship at BlizzCon. With the addition of the range upgrade on phoenix in Wings of Liberty we no longer feel like a splash anti-air weapon is necessary on the protoss, but we would still like to give the protoss some additional firepower in the air. The tempest is currently a very long-ranged aerial siege weapon that can strike both air and ground targets. This gives the protoss army some real reach to force an engagement on their terms in the end-game.
Sounds pretty much like the carrier to me but with guaranteed damage (no interceptors to be killed).

Players want to win, developers want to make it hard for everybody to win. I think that too much player input in the early stages is bad. I guess Blizzard had and still asks players for input, but you cannot just go an please the players. Most players consider their own race being the hardest and asks for more and stronger options for their race.

You don't choose to play zerg. The zerg choose you.

i still don't see the point of making zerg have more seige options, seems like the complete opposite of zerg. the broodlord is already as anti-zerg feel unit possible why add more?
