so my question is - what does darklore go for after getting 3 rites?
dressup sionrion seems like it would help cycle faster to set up another rite, and the individual sion/rion are decent rite targets. is there something else? |

Kana is worthwhile if you have big followers, because it allows you to get something like 2 marksmen for 4 size, allowing for shenanigans. Also, being able to bring out 2 pump spells for 2 size is always nice. Its just pure card advantage in a game where card advantage is near impossible.
Well...it's not really card advantage though, because you may run into something that locks your field and doesn't let you snowball the way you want to. I think as your deck gets better, you'll find less reasons to run Kana for PVE. A controlled Crux deck will win on turn 3-4 most of the time and not have any need to try and get out a cheap Knight Marksman or something.
How you win on turn 3-4 without some spell like swap/shrink ruin day? Anyone share their experience on FAST farm deck?
NPCs don't run Shrink, only a few run Swap Spell and they usually don't put a follower in slot3 to make it useful. Of course some games you get messed up, but it doesn't happen often. 10 buff spells, 2 Arrests/Shrinks (for the occasional tough spot), and 18 medium size followers = turn 3-4 win most of the time if you build your curve right and have rares.
This turn 3 win is for PvE right? Is it the same set up for PvP? You just described how I'm trying to set up my currently 90ish dp deck and it feels derpy as hell in PvP sometimes. Not as bad as turn 1 buff marksman into winning the game, but still pretty cheap.Last edit: 2012-04-23 13:54:17 |

You shouldn't be able to win on turn 3 in PVP ever, against a competent opponent. Crux plays more or less the same in PVP and PVE I guess, but you're going to want a few control spells (Arrest, Shrink, Unionize, Swap, Cross Cut, Meeting, etc.) instead of 100% buffs. |

Which good followers should I get? Thinking of Acad or Vita uncommon/rares.
I am out of blue ores cos I made all dem crux buff spells lol. (Yes, I know some of them no work, but open to swapping out Lutherica cos sense of belonging op)

Reverse defence or +2sta followers are generally good
Otherwise +1atk followers are decent too

Been playing quite a lot of this lately. Kinda addicted now.
It does feel rather luck based in PvP sometimes. Also, most dungeon fights are pretty trivial now until near the end of them.
Like sometimes you end up with situations like this, because the opposing character is like the worst possible counter for your deck lol.

Gawd yeah basically i have to grind out 3 double rares now
Probably gonna have to sacrafice my sinclair + vanguard for the ep 2 and ep 3 double rare, and probably will grab darklore double rare in ep 1 with my spare mats (more ores)
Once i do that then i can work on actually building decks lol
I think the ex1 D-rares are pretty weak
Which is a good thing for me cause i'm not farming that shit lol
Still undecided whether i go darklore crux swarm or academy shenanigans

The key thing is that none of these characters run any removal, so it's hard countered by any self-buffing follower. Get like a mop maid or something for the GGs. In fact, most of the abilities at the high end of crux dungeon actually help you. Like the girl who plays your character cards for you. having 25+ size worth of followers on the field isn't a disadvantage when they're self-buffing.Last edit: 2012-04-24 11:13:44 |

Ummm... the components are excellent. ALmost everything in ex1 crux can be used to make kana. It's basically the same efficiency as buying the bronze boosters. 25 per even a common card gets you like 5-7 ores + 3-6 acc worth of mats for kana. Unless you weren't trying to get 2 kanas... then yeah total waste. |

I still think it's a bit more money efficient to use the bronze boosters (ore are very easy to grind and it cost 6-12 tokens to get those acc), but it does save some grinding time, as it made crafting medic knight much faster.
Some question: what is a good character to replace a starter crux character ? I aim for the bath one for long long long term goal, but it there any decent and somewhat easy to craft character I should get in between ?Last edit: 2012-04-24 13:09:52 |

I'm pretty sure you can craft them. With every episode, you can only buy their boosters through the premium select, and the previous episode's boosters get pushed into the shop. I think they just worded it poorly. |

So I'm not sure where to go with my DL deck.
I have 3x Vampiric Rites, but after I got my Mediator Cabernet I found that I was using them a lot less often, and only in weird situations, so I took all but one out. I just finished getting 2x Forced Confinement for some much needed removal. Other than that, I've filled out the rest of the deck with Crescent/Scardel followers and some buffs that I had sitting around. The Midnight Doll Shows are filler too, although they have turned games around for me in desperate situations.
I'm up for any suggestions because I have no clue what I should be aiming for next. |
