When you say deceptively complex do you mean that it is complex but it appears to be simple or that it is simple and it appears to be complex. Because it looks pretty complex to me and I'm not sure I'm smart enough to get into this .___.
It took me 4-5 missions in the campaign to learn to build anything other than SCVs and marines... |

Been meaning to make this thread for awhile (in fact I have half of it saved in a .doc file lol), but I'm glad that somebody else put a lot of time and effort into it. The game is really great; it may feel simple when you first start out, but that's only because of the starter deck you're given. PVP later is a lot more involved. The game is a huge grind though, being a Korean MMO, so be prepared for that. At least it's low-apm enough that you can multitask other things while playing.
You should add that anyone who wants to chat or learn the game can hop on IRC (Rizon), #swordgirls channel. Also for deckbuilding, the full translated Korean database of cards is at http://www.swogitools.com.
Feel free to put me on the list, my ign is Celerity. |

I just cleared the first dungeon. Seems pretty decent. I'm playing as Crux under the name Arolis. Even with just the starter deck I've been able to buff a card to 7 defense one fight and 17 attack in another. I can see what you mean by snowballing.
How do you change chat channels? Pretty noob question I know.Last edit: 2012-04-14 15:51:55 |

| This is a pretty cute game and I recommend it to people who enjoy collectable card games. I've been playing for a couple days now as a Crux user. My IGN is dom. Last edit: 2012-04-14 17:03:41 |

So I tried this, and apparently vampiric ritual is ridiculously OP.
You can basically take it as: pay 1 health, merge 2 cards into 1 reducing the combined size by 1. Luckily you can only have 3 of them in your deck. Otherwise, you could just have a size 5 base follower, and keep sacrificing size 1 followers. (the random effect will get you another size 1 and another size 5 follower) and then your size 1 follower dies. This combos ridiculously well with meteor call to cull the field of opposing dudes.
Some of the common cards are ridiculously good....Last edit: 2012-04-14 17:12:06 |

When you log in you get to choose.
My deck is currently this. I don't like the New Cook Club Member though, so I'm building Shrink and Empowering Chant to replace them. Any suggestions of where to go from there? |

Just Started playing and its quite fun. Dont know if you can get more tokens but i like used all the starter tokens right away ahaha. So if you are new should probaly not use it early in the dungeon.
My IGN is MalFeaSanc. |

| Very very cool. I probably won't play it myself, but I nod approvingly at the game developers. |

So the leveling system makes random fights against opponents retarded. If you have a high level card, you instantly win no matter what your opponent does. It's kind of ridiculous how well certain cards scale |

Once you build a Crux Vanguard Knight, you can (theoretically) get her to 145/145. The problem with snowballing is that there are cards which can swap stats, or (more commonly) shield break which makes your defense negative.
Btw, stats work kinda like Sc2 nomenclature. 1/1 is 1 ATK 1 STA, even though theres DEF in between. Dunno why.

As time consuming as you want it to be for fun, and pretty damn time consuming if you want to really max out your deck. |

Exactly. Its a Korean MMO. If you want to max out, it will take 24/7 effort. |

Yeah, dungeon grind takes time and apparently you can't save between the floors. Maybe I shouldn't have blown my entire Token on booster packs hoping to get lucky. |
