| so what gold is moved out of teh league for him? there can only be 3 golds to a team, and they already had 3 (unless I'm worng there), so they can't have 4 golds and 1 bronze...they can have 3 golds and 1 bronze if need be, like us....so I'm expecting to see 1 gold out of their squad one way or the other |

Tbh you'd have to ask bluebox. But I believe cracken quit sc2 or something like that so his spot was taken |

I'm just going to throw my two cents in here.
I agree with SXE about this situation in that if there are 4 golds on the team that is unaccepteble. I also want to say in my opinion Neurosis should be removed from the leaugue outright and all his games replayed or forfeited. This is a for fun leaugue and it shouldn't be spoiled by one idiot who just wants to troll.
Also want to say I really appreciate the admins work in this leaugue and I want to say that so far my experience (although with alot of losses) so far in the CTL has been very enjoyable.

edit: GlintFox- if Cracken did quit I still feel that Neurosis should be removed and a new gold (who is on the waiting list) should be allowed to join.

glad im not the only one who thinks this, and not the one who had to say it. I'm not bitter at all about a L on the record or frankly being in the top spot in the CT, because thats kinda like being the valedictorian of summer school; sure its great, but ultimately it amounts to nithing. I'd hate to think that my statement could be misconstrued as anger towards tkp in general. -IF- Neurosis confessed that he was a smurf purposefully lowering his rating for free wins in the league (as no admin has confirmed that) no less than expulsion is warranted, and at the very least his wins should be removed from the record, if not retroactively forfeited.
That would suck for legitimate members of tkp, but the league at large should be outraged at higher skilled players trolling us lower leveled players, if i found out a galaxy member was smurfing to make us BSG players look bad i would want them out too.
The thing that surprises me is that the only way to grow sc2 and esports in general is to encourage new players to play and enjoy the games. Purposefully wrecking our for-fun league designed to give us low leveled players a way to compete with like skilled players in a community setting is a horrible thing for anyone who wants the game to become -more- popular and for esports gain momentum as a viable pass time. In my other hobby, we have a saying, 'don't break your toys' if you beat someone down so hard and make them feel bad about competing, they wont come back, and you'll have lost a potential practice partner.
If you like BMing people on the ladder, whatever, that falls under the 'greater internet fuckwad theory,' wherein anonymity + social outlet makes you a total fuckwad, if thats your thing, i can't stop you, nor would i try. But the absolute worst thing that should come from the CTL as a league is a -RIVALRY- between teams, or players. When i played PAYBACKsxe, man that was a heated game, and i felt in high competition with him, but now that its over i would happily practice with him or against him anytime he wanted.

TKP's captain is gonna have to drop one of its golds if he wants to keep Neurosis, the ball is on his court on this one. I believe there's a gold player in his team that was dropping anyway so there shouldn't be a problem. There's not gonna be any team with more than 3 golds, I assure you.
Everyone is on a very short leash regarding harassing, including Neurosis. This is a lot of people's last chance of stepping up their demeanour. |

I agree completly with ErrantMind, I also play other sports semi-competively and the only place where I see the more veterans trash that much the begginers is Starcraft (and the other e-sports, in fact). I know it`s because Internet anonimity brings out the worst about people, but it will be a shame if this issue ruins a league that, until now, has been great. I have played 2 games, in the first RoboBogey beat the crap out of me but I learned, and he gave some good advice afterwards. Then I won over Parker with a cheese and he was ovbiously not happy about it (and he made me know that in a very respectfull way). And I think the experience for almost everyone here has been similar: the vast majority of us are grown ups. So, in short, I just wanted to say something nice about the league, for a change: thanks to all the admins who are doing a great job, to the team captains and to Hazardous for the streaming. Keep up the good work!
EDIT: also, I agree with the fact that is not acceptable to change a smurfing-player from bronze to gold. If he in fact was smurfing, I agree with the others that think that he should be expelled.Last edit: 2012-05-13 04:59:40 |

Hey there everyone.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone that I offended last night with my actions. I was drinking and emotions were running high about the big match with galaxy, and I definitely got carried away. If the admins want to suspend/ban me for that, I take full responsibility. I promise that it will not happen again.
as for the smurfing allegations, at this time I have no comment. the admins know my story, and I will wait for them to make a statement before addressing that in any way.

Also, about maps Metalopolis and Shakuras Plateau. Since it seems that MLG's versions of those maps only allow red and blue colors, we're changing the map versions to the Dreamhack ones. So, when you're gonna play on either of these maps, this is what you're gonna need to search for:

Hey guys,
I would like to apologize to the people who were harassed by members of TKP. There is no excuse for personal attacks at all in this league, and I have talked to everyone on me team to make sure that this doesn't happen again. My sincere apologies to Hazardous, Glintfox, and Leave. I have talked to Glintfox extensively and regret that he was put in such a stressful position as captain of his team.
After speaking with the team and the administration, I have decided to keep Neurosis on the team as a gold player, while Cracken will be dropped due to inactivity. I realize this might be an unpopular decision, but allow me to explain my position.
There are three separate issues here; allegations of lying about his account (smurfing), skill disparity as a bronze player, and harassment.
Regarding the smurf allegations that have been brought up in this thread, it is my understanding that Neurosis never actually admitted to cheating. When the problem initially arose, he agreed that he should be placed in gold. Smurfing implies intentionally tanking ones account to take advantage of players with lesser experience. If Neurosis was not able to prove to the admins that the account belonged to a friend who tanked it when he began playing SC2, he would be removed from the team and the CTL completely. He was able to provide sufficient evidence to HowLiN, and has been given the go-ahead to continue participating.
The problem then arises that even if he never intentionally cheated, he is definitely too skilled to play in the bronze league, which is where his account was when he entered the CTL. This is fixed rather easily by having him play in Gold.
Finally, there is the issue with his behavior towards other players. This is very serious, and I have talked to Neurosis and he agrees that it is absolutely unacceptable, regardless of circumstances. The blame is not only on Neurosis, as several members of my team have behaved in ways that reflect poorly on the team, albeit to a lesser extent. Needless to say they have all been warned of their behavior.
I have gotten to know these people very well over only a few weeks. We talk on skype often, and I see aspects of their personalities that unfortunately most are unaware of. When your only interaction with Neurosis is BM and sarcastic posts, I understand the reaction of 'why is this guy even in the league?'. Please extend me the benefit of the doubt when I say that he deserves a chance to prove that he is more than that.
Our team has worked very hard in this league, and I would hate to have our name tarnished with BM and cheating. I do not want our position in this league to be considered illegitimate, and will be watching closely to make sure that there are no more problems.
