Hi all fellow teamliquid users 
I was wondering what you all find to be the most annoying situation to be in in a ladder match? Tbh i dont mind 6pools, proxy rax, bunker rush og proxy gates, cause i like getting better at dealing with those things, but today i encountered a 47 min!!!! game.
I am Z and my opponent was terran, we both max out, me on ultras and him on marine tank, i get the better of the engagement, but it comes down to a base race, he kills off all my buildings, start floating his own around the map. I had more army, with like 5 ultras and alot of lings left, while he had 1 medivac of marines. but he floated it around all day long while i rebuilt hatch, spawning pool, rebuilt drones, build lair and eventually the mutas to win me the game. Had to throw in a bit of BM at the end!!
So what kind of situation do you hate the most on the ladder? |

Dude just click the button in the top right which shows allies, it shows your opponents name and race =)
Losing annoys me, doesnt matter how.

I don't know why, but this is basicly the only thing that actually annoys me on ladder:
People who just says glhf then proceeds to just maul me within 15 minutes, and then dont returns any attempts of a gg.
I have no idea why though, but certain people who for many reasons are just much better than me just annoys me. I would be fine if they just at least tried to at least be slightly friendly about it. They are platinum after all, so the game shouldn't really be that dead serious, distant and ice cold to them. It seems like they just say the obligatory glhf, without any sincerity or actual meaning, then just leaves when the game is over and repeats
I imagine them sitting like medium skilled robots (platinum league) and going "Win confirmed! proceed to find match button. Typing obligatory glhf"
Is it weird that i find people who are at a casual level annoying when they imagine themselves as idra?

| Bad mannerism (not GG is perfectly fine but if you talk shit ingame or after I get sadpanda face) and playing against cheese multiple times. So tempting to just ask people from channel to play with you. Sure if you lose to cheese then laddering cheese games can be beneficial but if you almost never get caught pants down by cheesebust I don't find it any fun. |

Yup that's a great tip. And if they rolled random, it will say "Random"

| I just get annoyed when you play 5 games in a row vs zergs and the ALL cheese you, when shit like this happens it makes me want to just stop laddering all together but it is hard to find people to play against late at night |

| My inability to play games because of ladder anxiety. It's all in my head, and I'm lazy. Probably because it's always built up as serious business and the fun isn't there... Basically, I wish I could have fun with ladder again. <.< |

I get really annoyed by random players as I open 1 rax fast expo vs P and Z but I get gas against T as I like to go mech and only scout after I have a hellion out. I just annoys me having to guess and If i guess wrong my buiolds are all messed up which is what Im trying to improve at the moment.
That and I get angry with myself when I loose because I did something stupid or when I loose to something stupid that I handled poorly.

This. I find it not so much in 1v1 though, luckily, and more in team games when theres only 1 left. They run around trying to rebuild etc while 4 maxed out armies charge around killing their stuff.
Only had it a few times in 1v1 thankfully, but it's pretty annoying there yeah, especially if its a Terran and I'm maxed out with no air (as P) and he's floated buildings away... Ugh Last edit: 2012-04-16 00:34:53 |
