I agree with some of the comments here that the moderation on this thread has been dreadful. It's way too soft. I have gone ahead and simply deleted a bunch of comments that fail TL's community standards. Yes, those standards are determined by the mods. Yes, those standards are not perfect nor even uniformly applied. But we try our best. Spare us your righteous indignation over any notional impairment of free speech. This is a private site. It's a club. There is no "right" to free speech here. We only tolerate quality speech. By who's standards? Ours. Go read the TL Ten Commandments. Really odd choice to pick this team, I feel like the "girl" train most pro teams have been getting for celeb'esc/mascot appearance (excuse the term but that has been the case sorry) would really have picked up steam to aquired this girl but a simple semi-pro team is kinda low. I mean this girl would walk circles around the few other announced ones, topping oz and bumblebee? Not to bad. In my opinion, she is the first girl yet to be announced for a team that actually deserves to play on a pro team.
Btw, I'm glad the community is taking the gender situation with the kind of maturity they it deserves, and I'm sorry if I offend people by using mascot to represent the last few girls aquired by pro teams, it's not like we aren't all thinking it, and this is the first one that really deserves what she got.Last edit: 2012-04-17 08:48:44 |

She did mention in her fan club that she turned down an objectively better offer because she really liked the Eclypsia managers and staff. From a player perspective it's far more important that they like their team than for that team to have a super awesome name. |
