Not true. I was caught by BC using the Kenpachi method in SS mafia. I'm starting to really wonder what's up with VE, it seems very out of character for it to take him this long to respond to this set of accusations, whether he's town or scum. I actually feel like we should not lynch him for lurking, but we maybe should wait and see what his explanation is. He has to post his vote sometime in the next six hours or risk a modkill anyway.
Here's a post VE did in our mafia QT in LI and we both were mafia. Context is the following: Katina does a case on me that imo was and still is bullshit. Nothin she pointed out was alignment indicating. She basicly said "Toad is posting walls of texts and is weird". I said in our Mafia QT that I don't care, noone listens to Katina and what she says.
Here's how VE responded in our mafia QT:
Like look at it this way: if "no one listens to Katina" and what she said was "utter bullshit" and "doesn't make you look scummy at all"....then why did it take THREE paragraphs for you to say that? Why go to the trouble if you're town? She's wrong and seeing your effort in scumhunting, she'll see that she's wrong if you just ignore her nonsense and look for scum. This is a townie mindset. Punching her in the face and saying "You're wrong I'm town bitch!" isn't.
Now please - just watch how you post. Whether or not Katina can argue that you're scum, she NOTICED that you're scum. If she can, Bugs can. And so can Jackal. And they can both get you lynched. This is the last time I'm going to ask you before I bus you and earn infinity town-cred. You have been warned.
That's really important because the big part has 2 major phrases in there:
1) People saying "I don't think VE would ignore what's going on for so long if he's mafia". I think I just showed that he would if he thinks there's no danger. He even told me to do that last game. Agree anyone?
2) Scumhunting. I don't see that at all.
So I really think he's mafia at this point and nothing that was presented is a towntell at all because frankly he DOES that as mafia as well.
On the signing matter, Sandrobas and my style really are pretty easy to distinguish howver if you see a post that's not signed just assume it's Sandroba because I'm trying to do that every time and will do an EBWOP if I forget to sign my post.

Toad's case (that he has asked multiple people to comment on) is based on my desire to take up a leadership role "based on my recent successes"...but what Toad isn't taking into account is my recent failures as well (prplhz in Space Station Mafia and Cyber_Cheese in SoAF come to mind). I have NO desire to lead town at this juncture, because I don't feel like my play qualifies me anymore. Not to mention, look at the playerlist bro. LOOK AT IT!!! Sbrubbles - Where the dicks is Sbrubbles anyway?
Ace - Ace has shown decent activity this game, but very little actual scumhunting. Concerned about his plan for D2, but doesn't seem very interested in what's going on today, D1.
Radfield - Radfield's really only here because not only was his vote for me not explained (verily, even when requested), but justifies it by my lack of response. Sounds like an excuse to park his vote and not scumhunt to me, and I don't like it.

Unless we decide that we'd rather lynch a lurker, in which case I prefer Sbrubbles. I wouldn't mind that actually, because between the two I think I prefer Sbrubbles...but I don't think I can get a wagon rolling on a lurker at this point. Based on the fact that my scumreads are weak as hell after rereading (those who know me will notice a distinct lack of red text), I think scum are putting in way less effort than most everyone who's posting.
As an aside, if voting is done in this thread, could we trouble the hosts for periodic vote-counts? |

I agree with all this also. That said, I agree with the hydra in that it's time to stop talking about the masons and to start hunting scum.
In this post, he says that we should be hunting scum, but in none of his later posts does he actually do any scum hunting.
My scum hunting method is my own. I like to ask people questions based on their actions when I notice something weird and gauge their responses. Me asking you and Zentor, as well as Ace and Radfield, to explain your actions is my method of scum hunting.
Looks like trying to gain town cred for getting us focused when he's actually not adding anything to the discussion. Also note that this comment at this point was not really trying to change the arc of the thread; at the point he made it we were already moving on from the masons discussion.
That comment was just me making sure to put my opinions on things in the thread so that people can have an easier time following my thought process later on.

These are excellent points, sbrubbles. Thank you for pointing them out, my suspicion of Radfield has also risen because of this and I look forward to his response.
Again more behaving like he's moving discussion along without actually contributing. Especially with his "suspiciousness of radfield" post, this looks a lot like trying to bandwagon onto a case without actually contributing anything to said case.
I did think twice about posting that, but I figured since I was just about to head to bed and wouldn't be posting for a while that, again, I should put my thoughts down on the activity that had occurred over the 5 or 6 hours since my last post.

MrZentor, you're abrasiveness and dismissal of people's questions, while not necessarily (or likely) mafia behaviour doesn't really help the town. I'd say it actually lessens the strength of your cases when you resort to ad hominem attacks.
As for the other things that have been talked about:

-Masons should claim if they feel like it will benefit town
-Town reads are not necessarily only negative (though admittedly they are not as important as scum reads)
Let's look at both of the points he makes here. First, his response to my mason encryption plan is nonsensical. It's a plan that would, I admit, only help town in maybe 1% of situations, but could literally not possibly hurt the town. It died, I believe, mostly because Ace was dismissive and seems to be leading the whole "mason theory" discussion; that's not actually out of character to me, Ace seems pretty dismissive in general of plans that aren't his. However, the first few reactions to the plan are still interesting. Snarfs's seems like what I would expect from a scum reaction to a complex or convoluted townie plan; dismissal without actually engaging the details, as well as accusations being thrown around. Additionally, if you look at my post, the real filler wasn't the encrypted message stuff; it was me trying to work through the scenarios that could come out of a mason claim. I was responding to the question Ace asked, when he asked for reactions to his mason plan.
To reiterate, my point was that you were using a very large post to not do any actual scumhunting. That is where I still stand on the usefulness of that post. Maybe it's just me, but I don't believe that all the effort going into setup speculation is really worthwhile or meaning when it is just that: speculation.
Now, look at his arguments on MrZentor. Note that he calls him out for being weird and not townie without actually accusing him of being scum or anti-town. He doesn't take a position on whether or not Zentor is scum or town at all, just saying he could be anti-town.
I didn't think he was scummy or I would have said it. I said exactly what I intended to say: That his posting style was abrasive and could only hurt town. I generally give people the benefit of the doubt at the beginning of the game and then see later on if they are willing to consider my thoughts.
Then there's the little comment blurb. None of the things he says there are actually meaningful, but seem like they might be an attempt to jump in on a discussion that already happened without actually adding anything new to the topic.

@VE not really, I prefer optimal play specially day1 when evidence is flimsy. I actually would rather lynch rad then the other 2, but it's again non optimal. |

Yes, I still think VE is fishy, one post with some halfbaked accusations is not gonna change that. And no, I am not up for a Radfield or Ace lynch, as I think bot VE or MrZentor are better targets. Sbrubbles lurking is disappointing, but that's rather a last resort.
I would like to hear something from MrZentor soon.
Also, I think s&b's case on Snarf is rather stretched, I don't see any of the two as scummy currently.
Bluelightz defense of VE seems strange, even for him. I know he can be superlazy, but normally he is still making sense as town somehow. Still not on the scummy side however. |

So, I skipped back and forth through the thread again and I can't get behind a Forumite lynch at this point in time. I see a player who actively helped lead discussion at the beginning of the game, then tried to lead a lynch against someone he thought was acting really scummy. This seems town to me. I do see the defense of prplhz kind of odd, but I'm not ready to lead a lynch against Forumite just based on that alone.
I think the best lynch would be a marvellosity lynch. All he's done this game is soft-defend Forumite, VE, MrZentor and Ace. That and ask for filters. My vote will stay on him unless I need to change it to consolidate for a lynch on someone else I wouldn't mind lynching.
From my point of view, it's too early to lynch into the pool of potentially amazing town players when nothing stands out as really scummy yet.

What do you guys think about a marvellosity lynch? strongandbig and prplhz, what makes me a better lynch than him?
Of the other players who have votes on them already, I'd probably prefer a Radfield over a Zentor, mainly based on the difference in effort between I'm a Cop You Idiot and this game. In this game, his vote on VE was apparently just a pressure vote and he's happy leaving it there as opposed to someone who he actually thinks might be mafia:

no optimal play was getting town away from discussing masons over and over again, to finally get people talking about their reads instead. Especially make Ace and forumite stop talking about masons all the time while pressuring you to force you into caring about the game 
I wasn't sure if I should vote forumite or VE at that time to get that and ended up voting you because I already mentioned you before and also mentioned what I thought about you. You know, more to discuss than "btw forumite looks like mafia".
That being said a Sbrubbles lynch is not going to happen imo, I don't even see why you think he is scummy other than being a lurker when I think there's other players around who are somewhat lurkish themselves (hey there marv) and actually look way different then the last game.
Why sbrubbles of all the people?
Also if I am correct the deadline is already in 3 hours. At least that's what the OP tells me.
