| I don't know how anyone can say DH is the weakest class in beta, when in fact it's extremely strong, especially against rares and Leoric. With good 1H crossbows you can almost stunlock Leoric to death with Impale. It's the class that kills him fastest, only Barb comes any close to that. Also, in terms of groups, Hungering Arrow with extra pierce chance clears packs faster than anything Wizard or WD can use. I'd say overall Barb-->DH-->Monk-->WD-->Wizard in beta. |

| Man, did they nerf DH or something from a month ago? Dont know why so many people think hes bad. When I played him he was easily the most overpowered character in the game. Who needs AOE when your basic attack bounces to other targets? His damage was ridiculous and his snares and that shot that rolls you back makes kiting a breeze. |

Barbarian was the most fun, the Leap ability especially was very fun to use and there is tons of ways to use it well.
Wizard was fun too.
Demon Hunter seemed like a n00b class sadly, it just felt too easy. Perhaps the difficulty will spike up for this class once levels go up.
I was actually dissapointed in the Monk, flashy but just felt like autopilot. |

Barb was, and still is my favourite class.
But if we are talking "strongest", ill have to go with WD. Soul Harvest wayyy too strong. Easily >>100DPS with relatively crap gear if you bother to Soul Harvest properly.Last edit: 2012-04-25 03:32:21 |

I only played Monk and DH, so it looks like I picked what the majority hated! Monk felt pretty meh, I'd believe people who said the Barb was better just off what I can see from the abilities.
DH I want to explore more. I'm tempted to say AOE won't matter if you can pick everything off insanely fast, but I basically had a great time taking everything down. Traps synergised well, and acrobatics were great for diving in and out of combat.
I had trouble (aka had to use a health pot) with both classes at different times. DH when I ran into a mob of teleporting elites, and Monk when I first got to SK. |

| Barbarian just like in D2 start. Anyone remember? WW gave 15% ed per level. Weapon masteries MULTIPLIED rest of barb's ED. Literally one shotted everything in endgame content with some basic rare items. |

Wizard is just so good and fun. Having things like Shock Pulse and Explosive bolts and Arcane orb. It's just such a strong class. My main no doubt
also voiced by Terran Banshee. |

I think during the Beta, Barbarian was an absolute powerhouse and could basically tank everything. The Demon Hunter will probably get a lot more use in the later parts of the game, when it's a good thing they can shoot everything from across the room  |

| Though lvl 13 + normal difficulty is very early to make a decision, WD seems like a power house, followed by the Barb. I find DH not a viable choice, requires kiting all the time (means more playing time, slower lvl up and less magic find). |

After having played them all, barb was easily the strongest through all levels, followed by WD. DH was worst although he got a decent aoe by the end, but it was still slow play compared to powerhouse barb.

I don't know if this has been said or not here, but I assume it's been said somewhere. This seemed like the best place to post it from the visible topics:
I personally thought it's a little inconsiderate/stupid how they didn't balance items in the demo/beta so that they were more equa in DPS and such. ex. a single handed crossbow often deals more damage than a 2-handed one, let alone dual-wielding two single-handed ones.
Another example is obviously te 2-handed weapons for barbarians, which were both high damage, and very easy to get (crafting)Last edit: 2012-05-07 07:30:28 |
