Hello everyone,
My name is SparxX, and i'm a gold Protoss player from Holland. I am nearly 18 years old and i am doing my best to play as much as I can to improve my gameplay.
I started to stream to entertain, help and give advice to players who are at the same level as me, or lower. If I played as much Starcraft as I watched it I would be masters! :D
Another thing i'm hoping to receive is advice from better players than myself. That is something that could help me alot.
I started a team with a friend from Sweden, SplizZ.
The team goes by the name of Unique. The members are only me and SplizZ so far though.
Me and SplizZ are high-ish 2v2 platinum platinum players.
The main reason I want to become a more known/watched streamer is because I think it would benefit both me and the viewers.

Your stream channels show you only streamed for 1 hour in the entire month of february, and not since then? Im pretty sure you have to hit like 15-20hours/week to be featured unless you are a high profile pro, people such as Attero got unfeatured for a while even though he was pushing for rank 1 GM because he wasnt well known and didnt have a big enough viewer base or a good consistent schedule or something IIRC.
Gold is quite simply bad, and you seem to lack basic understanding of a lot of stuff neccesary to play the game at a higher level even with stream watching, so i think it would take a lot more work than you think to hit masters. Remember, you are not fighting for an arbitrary skill level, you are fighting to be in the top 2% of active players on battlenet, the skill threshhold for hitting masters is increasing with every passing day, and if you learn the game as fast as the average person and play as much as the average person, gold league will be impassable as it is where the "average" lies in sc2 matchmaking. The majority of the community that browses TL.net frequently will be playing at a significantly higher level than you, which could take away from entertainment a lot unless you played a lot and was good with learning to get to a good level quickly.
I dont think getting featured is a possibility though, IIRC you cant even be added to the stream list (where there are hundreds of people with like 2 viewers each) unless you have been registered on TL.net for 3 months. Last edit: 2012-04-23 21:22:15 |
