Welcome to the internet.
As I know it is, but that doesn't mean that the argument makes any more sense to me. |

BAH AHAHHAHAH Being the fastest track runner doesn't guarantee he can run the football.
that's quite a bad metaphor. he doesn't need to develop speed, multitask, macroing ability or strategic thinking. you could maybe compare it to an 11-a-side football player switching to 5-a-side football. and I bet you messi would still own the shit out of 5-a-side
Actually, it's a great metaphor. Because what I'm saying is he's got the mechanics but that doesn't mean he's gonna run circles on the defense.
And what's this 11-a 5-a? That's is some strange hotkeys you got going there. American football, man. Not futbol. |

Be very good : sure. Be the very best : maybe, maybe not.
I have no doubt that the bw pros will be very good at SC2. But I don't think anybody can predict if they'll own every current top SC2 player or "simply" be competitive compared to them. We'll just have to wait & see. |

Now yes, but can you really say that when he's transition is complete? I don't think so.
I was trolling. Flash would stomp stephano without knowing what the new units do
No.... it would not be close... stephano would destroy him, no matter how "godly" you think Flash is, nobody can pick up the game, have no clue what the units do and still manage to beat a world class player.
You don't know how good Korean BW pros are.
This has to be the most ignorant thing to say. It will take Flash atleast half a year of fulltime practice to catch up to Stephano and that is being very generous. This game is completely different.
It's funny you say that cause you never saw an SC1 pro switch from start to about 1-2 weeks later.
Literally Dove (a much worse player than Flash) switches from SC1 to SC2, and gets NA Master's in like 2 weeks. His mechanics are stupidly good and he just attacks cause he's like well this might be cool.
When you have someone who has the best mechanics to ever probably play an RTS, multi-tasking and just overall game sense to SC2, he's gonna get good really quick. Oh and he just about outworks everyone in the game. It's pretty obvious that Flash won't win with just mass marines, but he wouldn't even need 6 months. |

At least do your research before spouting nonsense. From Liquidpedia:
Stephano started playing StarCraft II one month after release, joining Millenium in October 2010.

getting to NA masters is not a great accomplishment, of course a BW pro will be NA masters in a day. The questions is will they win GSL. I got NA masters and I'm awful in comparrison to a pro, like embarrasingly bad. Apm in the 50's. There is no Question Flash and other pros will be masters, ladder heros, the only interesting question to debate is will they win GSL will they dominate the current top players of SC2, and hopefully if they transfer over that will get answered. My guess is it will be alot like ForGG, they will be code S level players. Time will tell.

when you say football, 95% of the world will understand "soccer".
you should think a bit more about your "american football" idea.
running and playing american football is a totally different set of skills. the comparison of 5vs5 "soccer" and 11vs11 "soccer" is a lot more accurate in terms of BW/SC2

forgg is actually quite a good example. he was still not too bad in BW when he switched, but to be honest he was a very cheesy, timing based player. that's why I want a top tier bw pro to switch over so badly. I need someone to shut everyone up. doesn't matter if he owns or not.Last edit: 2012-04-27 02:27:54 |

i really do hope bw pros do well in sc2...but i also think sc2 needs more revisions to make it more difficult so that good players have more opportunities to shine.
as for people claiming "different game", its not that different. adaptation will come at ease. i got to diamond without warpgate when i first switched, imagine what pros can do o.O |

| Flash won't dominate because this game is so much easier mechanically than BW, You can't have these players who are actually simply faster than others. He might still be legendary because he has the Starsense XD |
