As you can see we only talked once in a period of less than an hour, but that's all the interaction we needed really. First you should realize that he was the very first person I thought was scum (talk to much, try too hard, he is/was excellent at saying what a mafia should say and only what a mafia should say (which is basically how I eventually figured he's scum)), but through diligence in thread he eventually convinced me he probably isn't. Which is why I agreed to marry him.

This is when I start to get super suspicious of him. Simply because he's leading me away from being suspicious about him.

Well apparently bagmanager ended up town, which kinda makes me look bad lol, but his unwillingness to consider it seemed pretty scumlike.

Layabout and I have been discussing this topic for a while whether Mr. PotatoHead or Carolus is the blue knight. Here is my case against him, as I feel he is scum, but from a different angle.

Syllo and sandroba are two of the most experienced players in the game. They recieved a veteran + medic role and the first thing they do is announce their powers publicly to the thread. Now answer me this, why would players who aren't complete newbies role claim a blue role that clearly should be hidden. At no point are they worried about opening themselves up to a role block. Could it be they know a role blocker does not exist? The point of the veteran role is to take a mafia hit by playing pro-town. By announcing to the thread that they are a veteran, it informs the scum team that they can be sniped with a double stack, rather than surviving a single kp. As for the medic side of the claim, how does town benefit on day one? Surely a medic from a town frame of mind wouldn't be so open? I believe the true intentions of this claim was to gain support for their emperor campaign, which they fell a few votes short with, even with scum support.

syllo and sandroba clearly wants to win the election and go to the point of discreditting their biggest threat, acrofales. Notice how he never follows through with the attack on acro after he has won the election.

The knight appears to be one of the scums most powerful role. It protects the scum players from the numerous assassins and the scum kp. We already know that MajuGarnett passed his knight power on through marriage, it makes sense that the blue knight would due the same thing. Additionally, Carolus has picked up the assassin power and has an additional kp we have to worry about tonight. Just take a look at the filter of the marriage choice:

You can't argue to me that this is the player that they felt was most deserving of the knight title. All I see is gifs and spam, with few reasons to believe he is pro-town. Carolus explains that a player like him wouldn't agree to mason them, but who wouldn't if it met that they could become a knight. Where are the logs between carolus and QS7, is the duo too lazy to even create some fake ones? When do these two players even agree to a marriage? I don't see anywhere in the thread that the proposal is offered or accepted, which leads me to believe it was done in private.

The Bill Murray hit had confused me considering a town vig never claimed the hit and I couldn't find a reason why the scum team would see a spammy player who had limited town cred as a threat. This post perfectly explains why carolus would shoot him, as it drew unecessary suspicion to their team leader.

Another thing I've noticed from his filter is that he is extremely accurate about hunting the red scum players, but when it comes to the blue team, he is more than willing to defend them. He marries QuickSilver7, willing to give up their knight power on death, he defends quatol, stating that he is trolling, but not necessarily mafia, and soft defends prplhz. Now lets take a look at how the other scum players approach Carolus Magnus.

I voted Carolus Magnus/Acrofales as I already said. Somebody had a spreadsheet and they should update that.

prplhz openly admits that Carolus and Acrofales are his two top candidates. In fact, he admitted to originally planning to vote for acro as emperor and carolus to empress. However, after the election, he is clearly upset things didn't go as plan and carolus didn't recieve emperor. Acro goes from his number two candidate to a candidate supports by mafia influence in a matter of moments. Quatol votes for Carolus, despite calling Acrofales town. QS7 also votes for Carolus, so at least 4 of the blue teams votes were on him for emperor.

Finally, look at how his interest in the game has declined once the town has gained the upper edge. Carolus prides themselves on setup analysis, yet speculates that prplhz is the blue knight. That would mean town would have THREE knights, which is completely unreasonable from a balance perspective. If he were truly a green knight, then he would be attacking Mr.PotatoeHead as the second lynch today.

While I am not a big fan of Carolus' play, I can't really let a case full of falsehoods slip by.

1. His marriage to QS7 is right there in their filters.

Of course, QS7 tried running interference later, but I'm not sure even Mattchew bought that one. It threw me off for a second, but it took all of 20 minutes for him to "change his mind" so yeah, that proposal was fake (either that, or Carolus and QS7 were not actually married, but needed to keep the excuse handy in case one of them expected to get shot).

2. The knights so far are BagManager (green) and Majuju (red). The only other claimed knight is Carolus. Of course, this is suspicious, but 2 veterans (and 1-shot medics) for town doesn't seem too overpowered. The main question is why we haven't found a power role in 3 blue lynches (and prplhz is another viscount). Either the two scumteams aren't (completely) balanced, or there's 6 to a team.

If there's 6 to a team, then the roles are 4 viscounts, 1 duke and 1 knight. That leaves town with 3 assassins (and a serious problem with regards to the NKs, because there's no way there was 8KP flying around both nights).

Sandroba claimed knight without consulting me because he believed it would be tough to get elected as a smurf. I wouldn't have approved. Kita you do realize that Mr. potato head is a knight because he inherited it from mattchew, who in turn got it from maju? There has been only one flipped town knight so far, and we are the other. But again, you too are wasting time since we have already presented a fool proof plan for verifying our alignment since apparently there are some confused players still.

Other than that, that was very weak kita. Why do people still pretend to know how people voted in the elections since it was a secret ballot and it's easy to claim to have voted in one way and actually voted the other? Do you really think we wouldn't have gotten elected if we had the blue team supporting us?
