I am now into 10 weeks of making weekly dota2 videos and now i feel the editing is good enough to share it with you guys! pls leave critism or just what you liked
In the introduction clips, I think the panels are too small to effectively see what is going on. Perhaps choose one highlight in particular to be largest so its easier to watch and leave the rest as is.
Otherwise, I think you need to put # orders visible on the screen, or at least show which Hero is doing the highlight. In big teamfights I have no idea what exactly I need to focus on to watch the sick plays.
Everything else is amazing, great job!

Not bad. I'd say for each clip, put a little title or nameplate indicating which hero/player name is going to be making the play. Also, clean up your grammar in your description T_T

Hate to be that guy but I have to echo the question of the previous poster. Using the same music as them just really makes this appear to be a worse version of the established dota2 weekly from dotacinema.
If you want this idea to succeed you'll have to find your own niche or another take on the whole concept because in its current form you are just mimicing the technique from the dota2 weekly videos but not keeping it up to the same standard. My advice to you would be to find an own way of presenting the plays makes your videos unique and most importantly differentiates them from the dota2weekly ones. That would require you to either change up the way you're making the videos or accomplishing something like consistently getting replays from well known pros doing sick plays to attract attention.
Hope you come up with some ideas to make your project stand out rather than resembling something else, good luck!
yep i defiintly want diffrent music but ! finding good fitting music is extremly hard! i always try to get diffrent music but for now i have to use this and i am ! not happy about it read my video decription i wrote that i want diffrent music... and i am pretty sure that i am not mimicing the dota2 top10 weekly from dota cinema i dont have a top 10 in it and my camera movements / cuts are different! The only connection i see between these two weeklies is indeed the music...and dota 2 ofc lol^^

Yeah, please don't use the same music as DotaCinema. I know they don't technically have any rights to it, but it's kind of uncool from a community standpoint.
Pretty good otherwise though.

This is in not to be sounding like a total shithead or anything but i have the following advices for you
1. Ask yourself, why would i bother to make videos such as these 2. Read books about making Short movies, it will improve your videos ALOT 3. Dont use those random Sony Vegas effects, they are disturbing to your video, and they are purely made for newcomers that just started video editing 4. Dont concentrate on music, music supports your choice of scenes, not the other way around, and dont give a damm about some other show using the same music as you, they are probaly not the first video on youtube to use that song, its more about, does the song fit the scenes
My 2 cents, im currently studying movie editing and stuff like that I began the same way you did, but keep it up and work hard and you will be surprised on what you can do with it

I guess as sm1 who studies editing you have fun editing right ? I have fun editing aswell and always wanted to do smth in dota and i wont stop since ppl actually like it and like my progression in editing skills.. 2. Read books okay thats smth i could do but i actually prefer watching youtube videos about editing. 3. "random" effects mhh... not random at all maybe that krobelus effect was just random bullshit but to be honest the rest was not random and mostly actually done by myself not drageffect from the fx bar into the video... 4. Music is fucking important i guess u should know that as sm1 who studies editing... to the part with ppl getting mad that i used some other guys music. I actually feel the same it was never my intention to use sm1's trademark music. If u think about WoDota's music. When any Dota player hears We are electric they will think about WoDota and compare that video to WoDota not good...BUT i actually would make a way better video than WoDota it would be okay i guess.
Ps: I talked to many ppl who play dota and asked them what is more important to them editing or just the scenes ? More then the half said they care more about the scenes than the editing. If you watch Helical or Dotacinema all they did big in editing is the intro which is always the same the rest is just scene after scene with diffrent camera angles and stuff. I am doing a weekly making big adobe aftereffects photoshop modelling every week is just not possible. I'd like to have a better intro FOR SURE... but as u actually noticed i am not that good in that!
