I name my rune and mastery pages after the primary champion that uses the rune page.

Except on my second account, there I have names like "CRY SOME MOAR" for Amumu and "SEND IN THE CLOWN" for Shaco.

Raaaaarrrrrrrgh. So I just wrote a 4 page discussion on effective ward placement but I can't get the dozen screenshots to work on imgur and am too mad right now to redo it in photobucket so I just want to talk about the main point here.

Mainly I want to talk about this ward.

It see's everything, and doesn't need the mastery point to do it (making that point totally worthless). Lower down will just deny you vision of the blue ramp and of dragon. Higher up won't see people coming out of the tribrush to gank you. It is a very specific placement, those lilies spawn kinda randomly (and depend on graphics settings I think) but you get the feel for where it should go to see everything. Tribrush, blue ramp and dragon.

But NO-ONE puts their ward here specifically, I watch people like Nhatt and Xpecial and they just drop it where they feel like. I even get criticised in-game for not warding dragon when I can clearly see anyone trying to enter the dragon pit, I can even see the dragon itself when they pull it out. It's possible I'm missing something obvious and about to make a total idiot of myself but I like my wards to be able to see as much as possible.

EDIT: My mistake, that picture is actually with the mastery point but it still see's everything without it.

you can't see dragon attempts that come from mid. you don't have visibility of the opening to dragon, you only have it from blue ramp.

also it's very jungler reliant where you need to ward in order to see incoming ganks in time.

I don't like seeing so little w/ regards to the tribrush. Against a jungler like Nocturne, Hecarim, Rammus, or heck, even Skarner if you're a bit too close to their half of the lane, it can be too late when you see them from there to avoid a gank. Unless you were talking specifically from blue side?

I sometimes try to ward around there- the more I put it there the less I like it though. It is really hard to see someone coming out of tribush unless you see them instantly. And they can still sneak a solo dragon in if they creep around the side. Especially if their support is warding close enough that they know exactly where you put the ward down (and it isn't exactly uncommon to put it just below where you did, so that's entirely possible).

Basically I'm arguing that vision of blue-ramp is far superior to the small space toward tribrush you could get with a lower ward. Especially from blue team.

I personally don't like it because warding is dependent on their jungler and mid and where you want your bot lane wave to be. Dunno, I just like warding Blue dragon ramp and tribush as Purple if I need a generic pattern. Also, does a pink in river lane-brush spot that ward?

That ward shouldn't reveal anyone entering the dragon pit(dragon pit entrance entirely dark), and you can always drag dragon out unseen.
