I thought that was the reason that the article Fionn wrote up on the spot wasn't featured?
As far as I know they didn't have anything planned for Iron Squid but like Asha said, Fionn took initiative and wrote something up at the last minute. The finals thread that we're posting in also never got into the community news and neither did any other threads about it since the initial announcement of the group stages months ago.
Like I said I'm sure they have a good reason but it just looks weird.
It's entirely possible that the organizers just didn't request them to feature the threads so they didn't and Wax is obviously busy in Korea and didn't have time to cover this event so nothing was planned.Last edit: 2012-05-06 09:17:43 |

That a strategy like proxy two-rax getting scouted and still doing so much damage on a regualr opening is problematic. Symbol would have been dead hadn't he been lucky to find out.
why is that problematic? he scouted it after both raxes were almost done and after he had already invested in hatch first (a build a proxy 2-rax is intended to punish).
what other opening is zerg supposed to use against terran? u cannot scout a 2 rax in time to do anything other than hatch first, symbol got a 13 pool and STILL couldnt prevent a bunker. how is that not problematic? even if he had opened 14/14, mma would see no expo, lift his rax, drop a cc, build a bunker or two, and still be ahead.
i see no problem with terrans abusing zerg's apparent inability to innovate.
Ya, zergs really should innvoate their entire game plan 3 minutes in the game. There are countless unexplored options before 16 supply.
down 1-3 on a cross-positions map against MMA. dont play the safest early build (pool first). yeah, still not feeling too much pity.

| The thing is Nestea's ZvT used to be really bizarre and kinda bad but he still won a solid amount because he was Nestea. He has since then improved it a good deal and is no longer "bad" (even when he was"bad" he was still a good deal above 50%) at it. |

I didn't talk about 1 game or 1 specific moment. I watched all 5 games and you said I didn't watch or understand? Zerg is much easier to macro than terran in those situations. While Z just whole down 1 hotkeys to spam units, terran on the other hands has to micro their ass off on multi front and macro from 4 different production facilities. Also Terran had to move back to their base to grab their units, Zerg while defending just has to rally units easily.
Symbol sucks at macro-ing and multitasking, I dislike Nestea but anyone know that he beat MVP at GSL this season. Nestea sucks at microing, but the guy is the best macro Zerg out there belong with DRG. He won 3 GSLs for a reason ok. |
