Razer Deathadder sticking?

Hey, so I just bought a razer deathadder 3.5g. I installed the driver and settings are 500hz and 1800dpi. But it isn't tracking well. I had a cheap $20 portable mouse that never had any problems recognizing the surface( a smooth wood desk). I'd be super disappointed if a new gaming mouse was worse at recognizing surfaces than a cheap wireless mouse. Is there something else I need to do, or is there possibly something wrong with it? Thanks.

I have the same mouse.
Try another Mousepad :D
Or install a new firmware and drivers from Razer´s Website ;-)

Mine sticks on wood desk so I use a mouse pad instead.

Try google your problem and look out for the firmware version. I had the same problem and installed and old version that fixed it (Firmware 2.03, Driver version 2.01).

Just in case, make sure you remove the thin piece of plastic film covering the sensor.

Not trying to sound like a douche but I've heard it happened so many times already.

You're thinking entirely wrong about this. The low quality mouse has less trouble with surfaces because it's less precise. It's better, but the things that make it better may require you to use it the way it's intended to be used. If you build a new gaming PC for $1500, does it make a better cell phone than a cheap-ass tracphone?

Plastic was taken off and it already had the latest firmware. Not sure where to get older versions but I guess I'll just get a mousepad and see if that fixes it. Thanks guys!

I've never understood why people don't use mouse mats. And yeah, the Razer Goliathus is incredible and you should get the TL one to be classy as fuck.

if you use your computer for any prolonged amount of time and care about your mouse's feet at all you should have a mouse pad who doesn't have a mouse pad and plays games
we all hope to be like whitera one day

If you're using a hard surface, try switching to a soft mouse pad. I had the same problems, but once i switched surfaces it was fine. The sensor is just too high on harder surfaces, because the feet are brand new. Over time tho, as you wear the feet you can switch back to a hard surface.

Could be a mousepad issue, I actually bought a new mouspad from razer when i bought my deathadder. Some mouse pads are designed specifically to be read by the type of mouse. I recomend the Razer Golithus mouse, it works great. P.S i don't think its a mouse flaw thing, because the Death adder is a really good gaming mouse imo and razer products usually are of good quality in my experiance.

Hey I just bought this mouse as well and this happened to me twice before i figured out what casued the glitch. whenever I turned on my space heater my comp would make the mouse glitch.

the remedy was to restart the comp and it stopped skiping. That is assuming you have mouse acceleration off and a clean surface.
I consider myself a good person...but i am going to try and make him cry

Any 'new-age' mouse wont work well without ideal surfaces. It's something most people don't consider when they want to 'upgrade' their mouse. This is most likely your problem if you have identified drivers are not the issue.
I may appear to be an emotionless sarcastic pos, but just like an onion when you pull off more layers you find the exact same thing everytime and you start crying

Well here's a new problem. Since I installed the Deathadder, it automatically disables my touchpad, even when the mouse isn't plugged in. It disables it at startup. I tried disabling the deathadder at startup but it still wants to say its plugged in...
