Finland has always had problems vs teams that are able to put alot pressure in our defence zone. For example Canada,USA and Switzerland. Add in the anemic performance of all our lines and you got the result of yesterdays game : 5-0 to USA
All in all it was really well played by USA. See you again in quarter finals
I agree with Fabozi, Tackles like that doesnt belong to Icehockey. Luckily nobody got hurt.

Denmark just won 2-0 against Latvia. Denmark had at least 2 times hitting the German post, just in the third quarter and I do not mean the outside of it. Given how narrowly Denmark lost to Russia, Chech Republic and even Sweden with only 2 points I think it is a bit early to get cocky.
On the other hand, I agree that Norway will beat Denmark. But I think it will be close as always.

The entire tournament format guarantees volitility. in a 1 game format any one can win and any blow out in either direction is possible.
realistically, Finland is somewhere between the 4th best and 7th best team on the planet. (sweden, russia, canada are top 3) considering Finland's very small population this is a solid accomplishment.
To truly determine who is better between Finland and the USA .. a BO7 series is needed.
over all i'd say the Finland youth hockey system is better than Canada's.
Canada's hockey system is a nasty politically driven labyrinth of hate and anger.

Since I watched these fist fights videos, I always pictured Hockey to be violent. The american was probably telling him that Salmiakki tastes like shit and the finn went batshit crazy ^^
