Hong Kong International Schools' UNICEF Club is proud to host their first charity gaming tournament in Hong Kong S.A.R., on May 19th!
NOTE: This is a LAN Event, so unfortunately is only going to be open to those in Hong Kong S.A.R. that can reach the venue! If you wish to donate anyways to a UNICEF group in your country, you can go to this page to help support local as well as international efforts, or if you'd like to donate to Hong Kong UNICEF, you can do so here!
If you'd like to signup for our League of Legends tournament as well, there's a thread on Reddit in /r/leagueoflegends, here.
Intro + Show Spoiler + HKIS UNICEF Club has for over 10 years been an active participant in local and international relief efforts. Under the overall umbrella of UNICEF Hong Kong, support and relief trips to "Cage Homes" in Hong Kong, active runners for HK UNICEF's annual Charity run, as well as international relief efforts in Cambodia's ChildRescue Centres have been executed to raise awareness and funding.
This is the firstyear thatHK UNICEF is hosting a LAN Gaming tournament to raise money for a Child Rescue Centre in Kranglovear, Cambodia. All proceeds from the tournament event will be directed to supplying the centre with basic neccessities such as clean drinking wells and access to basic hygiene information and equipment.
For this event, i-One Gaming Centre has generously sponsored the tournaments, and have donated a whole floor of gaming computers for tournament use during the event!
