I did not see a thread on the actually WoDMMo other than a speculation thread so I figured I would gather all the current infromation on the game here.
World of Darkness is a role-playing game where you take on the life of a vampire. Vampires live on into today's society and work from the shadows to control the mortal lives with power, but sometimes their goals can be much more sinister.

CCP, the creators of Eve Online, have decided to create an MMO of the universe using their sandbox style. They say the game will be more about players interacting with other players. It takes place in modern times with the same cities people can live in today, but the actual look of the city has been changed a bit to be more thematic and exciting.
Each city will have a Prince and each city will have a Primogen for each clan. Both of these positions are controlled by players. The game will be very political. The Prince has a ton of really powerful things he can call such as blood hunts on indiviudal players which and lead to perma-death. This is only one of the many powers the prince can use.
The game will be rated M for mature as CCP has stated that they are not going to shy away from sexual content and other mature material as the WoD is typically known for. They simply state that it will be tasteful and not gratuitous. It was always a dark game and that is what they are making.
Some features that are going to be in the game that they have discussed so far are: -Perma-death -Only vampires to start, but they might add mages and werewolves in latter expansions -You could play as a mortal forever -You start as a mortal and have to be turned by a fellow player. (No info on how first players will be turned) -Top of the line graphics - The characters fighting power will be focused on vampire-like abilities and not tools like guns. -A lot of character customization. -Princes with powers. Basically making it worth while to try and gain power. The game is all about poltics and dealing with other players to get to the top. -The game is based of Vampire: The Masquerade and not Vampire: The Reqiuem. -The orignial clans will be available to play. -Many features have yet to be announced like how they will deal with generations, but they promiss that they have a lot more interesting things yet to come.

There is currently no release date, but CCP is said to reveal more once Dust 514 is released. Earliest release is expect late 2012. More likely summerish of 2013

Yeah im also hoping this is going to be a really cool MMO because I don't like most of them. If it was anyone else other than CCP making this MMO I wouldn't really be interested because it would be just another theme park mmo, but with CCP i think they can actually make it really really good.

It sounds like it goes back 20 years, though I'm not sure of when exactly the name "World of Darkness" came about, but I think it predates World of Warcraft if that is what you're talking about.
I really love the idea of players having such control over a game. EVE has always sounded fascinating to me. Having it in a regular city sounds even cooler. I can't wait for more info on this game.

I'd like to see a sweet mix of games here and I might actually play this one.
Check it out- Like GTA, where you can get caught by NPC's, you have to kind of try to blend in and live a life, while developing your character. Like Skyrim, in a way, that you and a bunch of other players (hence MMO) Maybe like 300 or 400 players on a server, live in a world that is mostly NPC's. People with jobs, at restraunts, in clubs, at schools, so that the players are just the interesting ones. What would be really cool is if players were almost indistingushable from NPC's if you behaved correctly, to really help with the immersion.
AAAND a WoW (stay with me here) -like PVP element. A Vampire side vs a Slayer side. Where you have to kind of fight out this secret war between the factions, in the GTA environment where there are police and all that. With multiple big cities you can go to around the world.
That would be fucking awesome. I hope it is exactly like that. With the perma death and stuff mentioned here. Potential!

I didn't like EVE each time I tried to get into it. Maybe this will appeal more to me since it'll have an irl feel to it with them using real cities and such. I'll have to look into it more as new things come about about the game. Certainly sounds interesting. I hope they do some sort of pay a 1 time fee model because, I'll be honest, I'm done paying per month for MMOs. Only MMO I plan to try out in the near future is GW2 and that's b/c of the "buy the game, no more fees" model. If they don't adopt some sort of model like this I prob won't even give it a second glance.

Wow. This looks amazing. Only MMO's i was looking forward to were TERA and ArcheAge, but if this turns out as well as it looks, i think this could beat both.

This sounds good. I loved Tera's PvP system and WoD seems to be following it somewhat in terms of granting certain people special powers, it promotes good PvP and relationships. I'll keep my eye on this.
