ESV Map of the Day

ESV Map of the Day is a brand new map rotation system that makes playing on your favorite ESV maps easy. You can go on Battle.net on any server and search one "ESV Map of the Day". You will find two results- the tournament version and the new map version (ESV Tournament Map of the Day, and ESV Map of the Day, respectively).

The two custom maps will be cycling ESV maps once per day. Of course as the names suggest, the tournament version will rotate tournament ESV maps and the other version will rotate newly released maps.

So get on battle.net with a friend and play some games!

Noticed this mentioned on the ESV weekly today, sadly when I found them on NA they both had zero time played, and I sat there for 20 minutes with no joins. But! It's a great idea, and I think this is a perfect way, once it catches on, to try and get some community play and feedback on upcoming maps. I really hope we can get these up to the front page under melee.

Very smart.

I recommend eventually implementing obs options (more important data more easily seen, king of the hill maybe like Peepmode (this helps with Time Played)), and perhaps a persistent scoreboard. And maybe a points system with cosmetic rewards for incentive (like achievements). Be sure to keep it simple @ elegant though so it only complements and doesn't override. (edit: and maybe let people vote on which map for that day. I guess I'm just saying try to give peepmode-like support :D)

I was playing the map of the day today 'Spring' and one of the gases on the natural is unable to be taken. On both naturals. Other than that is was a very fun map to play
