I seriously can't go one day without having to hear about it. It's f'ing bogus.
Its too bad Dune seems to be a story that would be nearly impossible to put into movie form without ruining the excellent narration in the book. Itd be sweet to see it on screen but I know i would just be disappointed
Edit: I hate it when people try to be deep on Facebook.
They post status updates every other day like "The sweet nectar of success is the concoction of the blood, sweat, and tears of labor," or some other shit like "Dont be so caught up in what may happen, lest you lose sight of the beauty that is happening. Cherish each moment you live." I just made those two up on the spot based on my extensive knowledge of cliches and bad metaphors. Others simply copy paste some famous guys quote. All of them end up having at least a couple people praising them for how wise they are.

Star Wars was not based on Dune, it was based on The Hidden Fortress, a film directed by Akira Kurosawa.
Also, i find people religious zealots who refuse to allow any other religion besides their own, and go out of their way to change your beliefs extraordinarily annoying. That goes Catholocism and Athetism alike. |

Bene Gesserit are the Jedi Tatooine is Arrakis Jaba The Hutt is God Emperor Of Dune The jedi mind trick is the voice Stormtroopers are Sardukar In the original script, they weren't shipping carbonite/station plans. They shipped spice. etc. etc. etc.
The list goes on and on and on man. You'll notice I didn't say based, I say ripped. George Lucas is a no talent shill and even Frank Herbert has been on record as saying he didn't sue him over early drafts of the script simply because it would take up too much of his time.

ASSUMPTIONS
think about it, everything wrong in this world was based around bad assumptions
"lol I assumed you just said that to be an asshole"
"lol I assumed you did that"
"lol I assumed you didn't do such a thing so I fucked everything up because I couldn't ask first"
"lol I assumed you were sarcastic"
people that start an argument when their minds were already made and you can't change itLast edit: 2011-08-25 06:49:57 |

This. Hard.
People taking random ladder team games even half way seriously. I just wanna laugh and mass something cheesy, if I'm not rushing. I don't wanna listen to someone 3 leagues below me in 1v1 tell me about unit counters like it proves his point.
People getting tactics and strategy mixed up (Thanks Day9)
People who try to argue that micro is less important than macro, vice versa (spelling?). They all sound so stupid to me, and so smart to themselves. It's like a festering wound pressed against malign fungus.

From my ladder games, I've noticed that it's generally the people who are super friendly at the beginning who tend to verbally explode when things don't go their way.

| Oh and also people in team games who say "plan?" when I no one even scouted yet. I usually just respond with a troll answer. If they take it seriously, I end up actually doing that troll answer. Usually mass overlords. Last edit: 2011-08-25 13:29:07 |

I'm going to go kill a puppy just because I'm thinking about it, I actually cannot stand to hear that phrase. I'm not a grammar Nazi or anything most things like that are not big deals to me, but that phrase |
