In my mind Thorzain was more of Good then Evil, but EG is very rich organization which means good money for him so im happy + good korean practice partners

That is just a sematics. It is pretty clear mouz would renew the contract with ThorZain if EG was not there with the money and ThorZain decided to continue with playing SC2. For all intents and purposes they bought mouz player, you are correct though they did not buy him from mouz.
Did you even read thorzains statement? It seems you didn't. He was going to quit progaming because it was not worth it. If mouz can't provide him what he needs and he's about to quit, why are people blaming EG for keeping him in the game?

It does, you say "well if he decided to continue playing". Well he didn't, he decided to quit, but then he got an offer that made him decide to continue another year. It has everything to do with what you wrote, since you got it all wrong. You base your bashing on EG on "ifs", that's pretty silly.
Your understanding of the words I wrote is very iffy if that is what you got from that. And my bashing of EG is not based on any ifs, it is simply based on my intense dislike of them. And my dislike for EG has nothing to do with my post you reacted to.

As mentioned at least once on every page so far Thorzain was going to focus on education unless a team could pay him more money. EG swooped in and delivered where no other team couldn't or didnt want to. Also since you claim EG hasn't produced any results, name any other foreign team that has a roster who has achieved as much as EG's players have as a whole with their GSL code S players and MLG finishes. Unless of course your argument was baseless. Not to mention EG's partnership with SlayerS is probably a big draw for players.

EG lacks results? They have better results than any other foreign team. They've won MLGs, IEMs, NASL and have had top 3's at many of those tournaments as well.
Team Leagues are secondary. GSTL is the only one that really matters. The rest are online. I'm sorry, but online competition is just, its not fair. Outside of Thorzain, what tournaments were the rest of Mouz winning? |

Haha, nice try. You're attempting to use facts and reasoning to debate someone who hates a team because its players care about fitness and have facial hair. The point Velr is attempting to make it seems is that Pro SC2 players should be broke, out of shape, and clean shaven.

They are not really foreign team or rather that distinction is meaningless now with Koreans being on nearly every roster. So you comparing them with foreign teams only is not really fair. You should compare them with all (but mostly Korean) teams. As for which "foreign" team can be compared to them. I would say 3 code S players are better than 0 and 2 code S Ro8 contenders are also rather better than what EG has achieved. I hope you know which team I am alluding to. |

You actually made no point at all. All you did was fail to explain how acquiring thorzain was wrong in any way.
And you still miss it. I was not saying it was wrong. I was objecting to you calling out people who say EG BOUGHT ThorZain from mouz (with emphasis on BOUGHT). You just saw that I disagree with you and baselessly assumed things, specifically that I am saying EG is terrible for buying ThorZain. If you did not assume, but read my post you would see what I was saying. Maybe you should try it. |
