| protoss is too powerfull T_T im toss and im sad to hear this from god, i must disagree T.T toss in starcraft 2 without warpgate is dead, however, if they somehow balance the patch to make toss more of a micro oriented style instead of this really slow turtle style then i think it would be a really good race. |

That's 1 tournament. Besides the 5 korean terran gods (mvp, polt, mma, mkp and alive/jakji), every other terran (except thorzain and select) is suffering hard. High master / grandmaster terrans are suffering hard too.

No, what I mean is that people should stop looking at those few terrans that dominate. Everyone besides them is having a really really hard time.
Then those terrans that are having a hard time should practice harder or stop complaining. I'm a terran and I'm bad, that's why I lose, what about you?
The same thing can be said about terran in BW. Only 3 unique terrans have won any SLs since 2008 the rest just aren't good. |

I never understand this. A handful of obviously awesome players play Terran. We know who they are, and it's quite obvious that they are tip-top players. If any of them make it to the finals of a tournament, nobody is the least bit surprised. But, somehow, with all this established skill, their wins are diminished by balance idiots who insist they win because they play Terran. They would rather see players like Hero, Parting, and Zenio replace half of them, even though their play isn't even close in terms of consistency and outright skill.
Did you ever consider that consistency may have more to do with the race than the group of players who play that race? Maybe it has to do with being more reactive and having less map vision? Perhaps there's a reason why blizzard focused on improving scouting for zerg and protoss rather than buffing an attacking unit (queen doesn't really count).
He is talking about consistency of play.
This. They make bad decisions or micro/macro poorly more often than their Terran counterpart.
IOW the same there are more/better Terran players argument, despite the ladder statistics showing completely otherwise.

Can you please stop taking Flash's opinion about Protoss for 100% accurate? I don't care how good Flash is, MOST of pro gamers are (a bit) biased. Let me give you examples:
IdrA: Terran and Protoss OP
Jangbi (I'm not entirely sure if it was him indeed, but it's one of good BW protosses who wanted to switch to Terran): Terran is strong
Flash: Protoss is OP
MC: Protoss is UP
Alicia: Protoss is UP, we need patch
Thorzain (tweeter): queen imba/strong
TT1: Zerg OP (regarding queen buff)
Nestea (if I remember correct, last year he said): Zerg UP
etc.
Stop believing in pro gamers. They will almost never say their race is too good/good enough. Yes, there are a few cases, but that's so few compared to "my race is UP or X race is OP".
Edit: Also, let me remind you that Flash has played the game for about a month. He also said he might have pretended to say some things.

people talked about this earlier and came down to a basic conclusino
blizzard wants warpgates. Therefore we have to suffer warpgates.
I am a long time fan that the reason protoss switches between UP and OP so much is that the people have to balance around warpgates. At first, gate units are weak as hell compared to other tier 1 units, then they get super strong as tech goes on. This is what led to the deathball syndrome. Then people found ways to use the warpgate to their advantage, so they had to nerf the units and the warpgate effectively.
pretty much a bunch of shit happened that if they hadn't made warpgates part of the game and found another kind of feature (like tech that sped up unit production from gates maybe) would have been so much better. As it is now, protoss is balanced around warpgates, not around their units.
Zerg is somewhat balanced around larva, but not as heavily. Terran is the only race that is actually balanced around their units, not around their gimmicky feature. |

Flash hasn't played Starcraft II much and he hasn't watched any VODs. His balance ideas make sense from his point of experience. He'll thing different when he's more into the game.

Probably because he's realized that Terran Bio is one of the best scaling unit compositions when it comes to speed and control.
