MLG Anaheim (Officially Spring Arena 2012) is Occurring from June 8-10 at the Anaheim convention center. From the introduction of KeSPA players, to HOTS beta, and possibly demo keys, WCS, and all this fun stuff, it will be one of the largest SC2 events to date. That aside, in previous MLGs tons of small threads were set up in this subsection to arrange hotel share and carpooling. Hopefully this will centralize it, and be enough in advance some planning can be done.
The event is at the Anaheim Convention Center ( 800 West Katella Avenue Anaheim, CA 92802 )

The most nearby airports are John Wayne (Orange County), LAX, and Burbank, I suppose. LGB (long beach) also works.
WCS starts at 1:30pm on the eighth, whereas the MLG itself starts at 5:30pm. Player checkin information, and other more specific details can be found on the mlg website.
Carpool
Whether coming from far away, nearby, or wishing to share a rental car after getting off of a flight, post origin, destination, and any relevant information. I'll try to keep this area updated fairly frequently with recent postings. They will be sorted by region.

Lodging
The official hotel that MLG provides a discount on is the Anaheim Marriott, but it is sold out.
However, in the past individuals have gotten generally superior deaails at other nearby hotel/motels.
Roomshare
If you are interested in sharing a room, put down the hotel you plan to stay at, specifications for who you would like to stay with, and any other relevant details.

I am coming from Portland, OR. Flying in on Friday, looking for roomshare.
The Anaheim Marriott is already sold out. Flying to LGB airport is the cheapest, SNA is the closest but more expensive.
Also looking to share a rental car.
Summary: Portland --> LGB airport (looking to share car rental and hotel costs)Last edit: 2012-05-13 16:02:27 |

Thanks Froadac for making this thread, I was thinking of doing the same and was thinking of your blog post too. According to MLG, a taxi ride from LAX to the convention center will cost $100!!!!!!!!
I would love to share transportation to/from LAX. I arrive Friday, at 1 PM. I leave Monday, at 8:47 AM.
I'm willing to rent a car and share the cost for that too. It would probably be cheaper than a taxi, but maybe more hassle?

Got some information from Schnieder.sc2 about travel to/from LAX:
"The supershuttle blue vans will take you to from LAX to the Anaheim convention center for $16 + 15% tip. So around $19. www.supershuttle.com to book."
FYI! |

I'm looking to roomshare and am driving so I will have my own car for the duration of the event. I've PM'd people here.
I've done a roomshare with two others during Blizzcon 2011 who can vouch for me as well.

Find out if your Hotel has a deal with LAX, or like other said sometimes you can find an ok deal on SuperShuttle. Note that they will cram 8 people in there and it can take a long time to actually arrive at your destination, most of their shuttles are within a 30m radius.Last edit: 2012-06-03 02:09:07 |

We may be looking for an additional person or two to share a hotel room we already have booked, just to help minimize cost etc. It's very close to the venue. I'll be back with more info.
Currently just myself and one other. |

| For anyone coming from LAX, you'd be better off looking for super shuttles (big blue vans) going to Disneyland. That ride should be much less than $100. |
