Getting some of the SP Achievements after beating?

So I want to get some achievements such as "Purchase All 10 Armory Infantry Upgrades" and "Purchase all Base Upgrades". But since I beat it, all it really asks me is what mission I want to replay. I can't actually get to the armory. Did I miss my chance to get all the upgrades with this character?

Thanks

You can restart the campaign, but I don't know how much you'ld want to do that. But I guess if you really want those acheivements, I think that's the only way.

You can load a save from a mission and continue from that point and do them that way. So long as your save was from the a playthrough before that plathrough was completed you should be able to just continue from that point.

Check your saves, see if there is one for before you started the Char chain, if so, just go from there. Thats what I did to get "Piercing the Shroud" and to do the Protoss quest line.

It should have saves, as mine had some from before I reinstalled when I first did single player some months before I had wiped my HDD.

edit: added some stuff i forgot.

Seriously, why do you waste your time with that? Achievements are so usesless shit to add pseudo-content! Do something what is fun and don't "grind" achievements!

i just finished playing through again to get all the hard achievments, the only thing i have left to do in the campaign is the brutal run through.

the best thing to do if you need to start over is save as much money as you may need, then before char (after you have all the units) but everything for one achievement and reload the save after youve been awarded the achievement.

and as for why we would waste our time with 'psuedo-content' some of us find achievement hunting fun.

You seem overly angry over something that is only 'pseudo-fun'. I don't know any gamer that does not enjoy the achievement system to aim at challenges within the game and be able to brag about beating them. If people enjoy it, it definitely isn't pseudo-fun, it's genuine fun

Next to that, no one is forcing you to participate in them, so what's the problem? Use your energy on something constructive instead
Comparing BW with SCII is like comparing a beautiful three-master sailing ship with a modern battlecruiser. Both are beautiful in their own way, both perform the same task, but they are worlds apart in how they are built and how they are steered.

Just do most missions on casual. Then when you have all upgrades unlocked, save. Then buy all, get acc. Load and repeat.

I have a real important life changing question here. If I play all the campaing in Casual (or normal, it's the same) to get all the credits, then I use my saves (not the Hyperion's console) to replay those missions in Brutal, but with all the upgrades and research the money I had at the time of the save could buy me... do I get the Sarah Kerrigan profile if I do so? In other worlds, if I beat the Brutal missions one by one instead of beating them as a campaign in a single save?

You have to do brutal missions all the way. If you switch to a hard mission, it breaks the chain and you don't get some achievements. It's not that difficult anyway.

If I remember correctly you only have to win every mission on brutal. Doesn't matter if you have played them before on normal in "the same campaign".

I played the campaign like 4 times to get the buy all upgrades and other achieves ;-)

Ps. Achieves are great. Wish there were more. But takes forever to get 6k wins on the ladder ^^ To me it's more important than getting master league playing one race. Also it's alot more fun playing random =)

I remember when the Research Points glitch was still in the game. Man, it made buying stuff so easy.

Damn, I seem to be the only person who enjoys playing the campaign multiple times just for fun.

Nope , actually the better you know the missions the more variety in builds you can try and the more fun it is, IMO anyways.

That's cool. What does it have to do with the campaign, though?

The campaign is cool, I guess, but it's so long, and all the units that aren't available in multiplayer (Medics) make me feel like I'm wasting my time instead of improving on the ladder. But hey, to each his own.

heres how I got the armory achievements. Replay the campaign, you can't get armory achievements if you already spent your funds, so you have to start over. It's ok though, keep the save of your current campaign to do other achievements but make a new campaign for the armory achievements. I did it like this, play on whatever difficulty you like and don't spend a dime on any research, just save your money. Unlock all the bio units, then save your game, then spend all your money on all the bio upgrades, you now have an armory achievement for bio. Go back to your save so that you still have all your money, now try and unlock all the mech units and do the same thing. Do this for all the different categories and they will be unlocked in no time.

eventually there may be missions where you need to spend your money on an upgrade, that's fine, you can afford to spend money on only the essentials such as stim, stronger siege tank fire, orbital command and medics from reactors if you like. I didn't have to beat the whole game to get all the armory achivements either with this method.

^ best solution as you dont have to beat the full game
