Excerpt
Major League Gaming (MLG) has been busy cutting deals lately. On the heels of its huge broadcasting partnership with CBS Interactive, the fast-growing eSports entity just expanded its reach into Korea, where pro gaming rules. MLG and the Korean eSports Association (KeSPA), have entered into an exclusive multi-year global partnership that will bridge the Western and Korean StarCraft worlds. As part of the collaboration, KeSPA players will compete in MLG events, starting with the MLG Spring Championship in Anaheim June 8-10, marking the first time in eSports history that KeSPA players will participate in video game tournaments in the United States.
Interesting read worth the insights from Sundance himself. |

| So i've been noticing a load of Forbes articles (not just on Starcraft) recently. But a-lot of them seem to be pretty poorly written (not judging this specific article but just a general post here), is it a Blog style website like Huff-Po? Last edit: 2012-05-15 06:42:05 |

Forbes largely does reporting on buisness and finance, they have magazine publication and an internet based website. The website has a lot more writers who are largely contributors and not staff. So quality of the articles written will probably vary for the things submitted by their contributors verses the Forbes direct staff. |

| I liked the responses to questions about acquisition from a third party. I am sure that there must be a strong push to build up an cash out from the investors. It is good to see that Sundance is pushing back against and thinking long term. |

I don't think its as simple as that. I do believe Sundance and all of MLG (omfg yes even JP) care alot about the growth potential for esports. Now when you get into why they care thats when things change. I believe you have Sundance, who wants to push this as far as it goes, obviously, for better buisiness (money), but I'm sure there is a love for the purity of the game from a ton of people within MLG.

There's been quite a bit of eSports related content on Forbes before. I'd agree if this was printed, but it's just an online article. |
