Well, remember that they were doing quite well in season 5 of the EG's Master Cup Series. In fact, they (after being absorbed by Complexity) made it all the way to the finals, taking 2nd place after losing to Mouz. Cruncher was the only non-ROOT player who played after the absorption.
ROOT also used to beat up on EG regularly in team leagues back in the day  Obviously times have changed since then though.
ROOT was my favourite team, it was a sad day when they disbanded, so this is good news!!
