Considering the map is over 130 miles from end to end and the game is in real time, even running will take an eternity. A dedicated TL group on teamspeak or just direct com would be ideal as we can rely on each other instead of the dubious players in-game.
Need to pick this game up in a couple of days. |

| This game/mod has me more excited then diablo 3. Is it worth buying the Amazon combined operations pack for $15 or should I wait for a steam sale? I've heard the amazon download service/drm is terrible. |

-NVGS: They drop in specific locations mostly. Most of the best gear comes from military related facilities, whether it's an airfield or army base.
-US Server only? No, every region in the world has servers. Also, ping isn't all that important and you'll find that you can play in any region you want almost. Your name says Austria... plenty of EU servers, German servers, French servers, etc etc
-I don't know the answer to the ARMA 2 black edition question you ask. You need ARMA 2 and Operation Arrowhead.
-Amazon is fine for buying games. I prefer to have steam active within my game as most are playing through it, but it doesn't really matter. Also, I'm not even that familiar with Steam tbh. |

this looks fucking amazing, will definitely get into that when im back to my PC
and it proves again that the modding scene is where its at, traditional developers are just feeding us DRM-packed bullshit, even blizzard fell from grace as one of the few big companies making quality games, i still hope they can redeem themselves with HotS but my doubts are growing...
modders are so much closer to the community and also seeing how big companies seem to take ages to produce mediocre games (how many manhours were wasted on diablo 3? how long would it need a small community team to make HotS? does anybody sincerely doubt they could do it better?)
what we really have to thank blizzard for is creating a good modding platform with starcraft 2, i think we ll see tons of great mods there over the years, its just a shame blizzard is taking forever to implement b.net 2 features like being able to charge money for ums maps that they promised years ago... |

I agree, there are some rly good mods (custom maps) for sc2 right now
still i would appreciate a list or plattform where you can review/have a look what good mods there are
and i need to shoot zombies it seems :D |

The atmosphere is pretty terrifyingly great, at least for me who is playing it solo. I feel isolated and constantly in danger. The mod is pretty slow paced compared to shooters in general, you have to consider every move you make due to the threat of permanent death, something that is crucial in making it all the more exciting. |

Of the few times I've seen random strangers, I've tried to team up with them. Most of the time they just run off (you tend to have a hard time trusting people when they can easily shoot you in the back of the head and loot you). However, this one time proved different. I spotted some random dude (probably also a newb who just spawned) from like 100m away. Apparently he didn't speak English, because my attempts at contacting him and convincing him that I was friendly in the chat were kinda futile. I ended up deciding that I should just try to initiate contact (I had just died so I had nothing to lose - just the basic starting gear).
When I went up to him, miraculously he didn't try to kill me. He ended up essentially grouping up with me and we started roaming around some of the smaller, less populated areas, looting random houses and killing zombies. Eventually after about 30 minutes of wandering around and checking countless tiny settlements in the wilderness, we both managed to find some awesome new weapons (a compound crossbow for him, a CZ550 sniper rifle for me). This was basically the first new weapon in the game that I found (other than the starting pistol of course), and I was understandably excited in trying it out. The next settlement we stumbled upon, I decided to try my new sniper rifle out on some random zombie. I managed to kill it with a headshot, but apparently the sniper rifle makes an assload of noise. 15 zombies popped out of nowhere and started swarming on us. My mute friend and I were both trying in vain to kill the horde of zombies with an ineffectual sniper rifle and crossbow. I saw that we were getting swarmed and started running away. When last I looked back, my faithful companion was getting swarmed and ended up dying to the part of the horde of zombies that I had startled. Eventually the remaining zombies chasing me stopped for some weird reason, and I managed to survive. I felt so bad afterwards that he died because of me  .
RIP mir governent, your sacrifice was not in vain. (PS: thank you for not shooting+looting me the 100x you could have)
Also, everytime I roam around the wilderness for hours (going around to some of the smaller settlements and staying the fuck out of cherno/electro) and get some good gear, I end up getting ambushed + incapacitated by some random bugged zombie that can somehow run right up to me and start mauling me when I'm nowhere close to them + prone/crouched (making no noise/out of vision) and I end up dying a horrible death.
My most recent death, I had (after a couple hours) managed to scrounge an ALICE pack, shotgun, binoculars (so OP during the day), bunch of food/water/supplies (thanks to the ALICE pack) before some random zombie ran up to me as I was crouch/moving past a random building in the middle of nowhere. I had like 6.7k blood but somehow he instantly incapacitated me and I ended up dying ......sdkfjhsdkfjhskfhIUSDTFSIFG. |

Had the most fun yet annoying life ever....
Went to starey sabor (Spelling?). It's some epic journey FYI, and i got myself an AKM, 5 clips, and all the trimmings. Basically i was loaded to the teeth apart from med supplies.
Anyway, running into the forest i get shot by a bandit... manage to kill him and not die (somehow) however i'm out of painkillers... JOY!
It's the MOST annoying thing ever to have to run around trying to find some while the screen constantly shakes....URGH.
Got so bad that running full speed into a town trying to find someone to help seemed like a good idea. Sadly i mistook a nice person for a bad person... and the rest is history.

So much epic adventures in this game in the 2 days I've had it with my friend, such ballitude and tragedy, and worst of all LUCKER ZOMBIES.
Don't you hate it when you are running from 20 zombies, then one from nowhere catches you, you still have like 10k blood and he luckers you and you faint on the one hit, then the great horde catches you of course hahaha |
