I mean, I'm not trying to be a turd lol. I don't eat at McDonald's, and I really don't have money to spare right now. I just don't like the idea of buying a game only for the mod. Literally, I know I would not touch the actual game at all.
But barring that, I still am interested in this game. I would love to buy it if I had 15-20 bucks in my paypal. I just literally don't. So I was looking to at least test it out. It looks like that will be impossible, so most likely I will just forget about this game and go on to another. |

lol. Good times. I think that's a good way to start, because it needs to be learned very quickly that this game isn't for the weak. The game doesn't offer ways out of situations and death is always lurking around the corner. Think every action through :D
Hehe yea! I mean, I've seen lots of footage of the game so I knew that it wasn't a walk in the park, so I definitely agree that it's worth experiencing things like this to really get a feel of how careful you need to be.

You are underestimating the mod, man. I imagine the VAST majority bought it strictly for this mod. I have already gotten my money out of this considering what other games provide and their price tag. I haven't played actual ARMA and I don't plan to. |

I tried playing tonight but the only server with daylight that I joined I took a few minutes to figure out the basic controls like gear/getting rid of freelook. Nobody would respond to me when I typed in chat although it was fairly active. I ended up wasting a bunch of ammo and then leaving. I wouldn't mind trying this when I'm not tired/during the day and preferably with people. If someone wants to show me the ropes/learn with me tomorrow just send me a pm on TL.. :D
PS. It seems like there's alot of elitists on the servers, the ones that successfully joined people kept whining about "casuals". Was mildly disheartening. |

I think it's "." to change chat channels, you can cycle through to global or side chat that way. Might be ",". The default key to bring up the chat is "/" too.
Dropping items - I think you just double-click them. |

| does anyone else find picking up items is incredibly glitchy? I found a barn with 2 sniper rifles and 2 winchesters with tonsof winchester ammo but i got into a shoot out with zombies and i took out about 20+ because they glicthed out on the stairs but then i went to pick up a sniper and dropped my winchester to make room and the sniper had no ammo so i lost all of my winchester ammo and the winchester because I couldnt pick it back up >.> so i died to the last zombie when I ran off.... |

Can someone please tell me where the hell I can find a tent?! I've only ever found one, and it was a tent inside of a tent (tentception?) in the middle of nowhere. It was some persons stash I suppose, and it was freaking looooaded with stuff! I switched servers because I wanted to drop it in a server that I would plan to stick with but it disappeared from my inventory. But yea, I'm pretty much full on everything I can possibly need (Alice pack is full as well) so without a tent I really can't loot anything else.. =[
Has anyone found a tent before? If so where? |
