Also sneaking systems are all fun and such but the extremely shitty controls and the bad programming just make it either a extremely slow ride of boredom or playing it more loose which makes it impossible to shake the aggro before you can grab your items.
This just feels like one of those bad patches that makes a game stupidly difficult after fans have been complaining it was too easy, I think I'll wait till future updates fix this shit and focus on the many better games I have.
Edit: And yeah, I am kind of pissed off, from what I've seen from the numerous Destiny material this seemed like an incredibly enjoyable game, to only find out now that to reach that point you have to spend 15 min to an hour depending on luck and spawn position to even get a basic weapon, from where you can actually start playing this game, if this was a one or couple of times thing I would'nt mind but at this point I spent so much time on that bullshit, it's just frustrating.
I get the idea of having no weapons to fight and being chased, in Amnesia or Penumbra for instance it works incredibly well, however there it works because it's actually scary due to the game's atmosphere, story and enemy design, in this case it's like you're being chased by a bunch of annoying parasites that sound like dogs and wear idiotic french berets, it takes me out of the game and wastes a lot of my time on tedious busywork.
It appears you've gone into the game with expectations of being handed a rifle to cut down hordes and hordes of zombies. This isn't left for dead. This game is all about PvP and hording awesome gear. The frustration you're feeling is what you should be feeling at the start of the game. It makes every experience you get vastly more enjoyable. But hey if you're hating life because you can't figure out how to shake zombies then don't bother
Ah yes, complaining about removing a makarov now I'm a left 4 dead nub that wants to be handed a rifle. Nothing in my post even remotely says I 'Wanted to be handed a rifle.', as I've also said I've watched Destiny play this shit for hours, i.e. I had a pretty good idea of what I was supposed to expect BEFORE THE FUCKING PATCH HIT. At least read the fucking post before you start your condescending routine.

Now that someone gave me the manual to the axe the zombies arn't much of an issue anymore, your comments make it sounds like you're personally invested in this patch change, just trolling or do you honestly like being defenceless until you've done your silly loot spawn routine? And the makarov is most certainly the problem, an axe is manageable but just having a makarov would save me massive amounts of time on finding drop locations and this terrible form of stealth.

I wouldn't think of DayZ as a game that is meant to be user friendly. These are basic things, and there is no reason for not working this stuff out yourself. In fact it is far more beneficial to work it out yourself and actually learn properly rather than have a pre-set group of answers and actions handed to you. People quite reasonably ignore, or get annoyed by, posts that ask questions that can easily be answered in 5 mins using dayzwiki.com, youtube or google |

He has a M16 ACOG silenced, which I have never seen in game and not seen on the wiki. Almost certainly hacked then, maybe he doesn't hack himself since he's on stream but just gets a buddy to spawn stuff for him.

Hello zombies and survivors,
This post is to clarify some questions I have received and to provide you with some idea how to future is looking for the TL community server.
A little history.
An month ago Spartacus, Cee and me decided to pay for a official TL Day-z Server.
After much talk we decided to have a trial run to gauge community interest and test out our chosen provider HFB. We rented an managed server. This meant that we did not have full control over it, but basic access over the service running and FTP access. In the short span of a month we learned allot. We added additional administrators and worked towards giving TL players the best and safest gaming environment. As you might know not everything in Day-z is rainbows and sunshine. The same thing applies to maintaining a Day-z server. Sadly our service provider could not work out/work with us to resolve the issues we were having, leading to our choice to find greener pastures.
Now today what is going on ?
We are currently looking for a dedicated server. We are shooting for a VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) due to the resource’s we need and the flexibility of a VDS. This can/will take some time due to short supply, our standards and the white listing process. This will also mean we will have root access and the server will be fully managed by us.
To answer some questions and to make a couple of statements.
We are doing this to give something back to TL, a great community.
The trial run currently is at 1/3 completion.
Cee>Me>Spartacus are paying in that order, hence 1/3.
Our plans are to host 1 Day-z server. More interest would lead to more slots if we are able to financially maintain it.
Rules we voted on and are enforcing on the server are,
1. No combat D/C This results in a perm ban.
2. No meta/ts2 backstabbing this results in a TS ban. (note, no server ban)
I would like to briefly touch the subject of donating due to several people offering to help us maintain this/donating a specific amount. As said before we are doing this to give something back to TL, and to provide a nice and safe place to play day-z. We will not accept donations at the trial run. We believe we have not provided you with a persistent/stable enough service to merit that. Once the trial run is over and we are comfortable with the provider and situation. We would greatly appreciate and accept donations to keep our TL community server running.
The Future and our thoughts about it.
An high grade Day-Z server for our community.
An separate thread for the server and community feedback, suggestions e.t.c.
Trading network on thread/ts.
TL Server events with in game prices.
But who knows right ?

Hey TL, I've really been looking for an M24 or DMR for so long, but can't seem to find one anywhere. I've got a couple decent-tier guns (3 FALS, a Night-vision FAL, 3 Bizons, a SAW, Cz550 and a few more military grade guns) and was wondering if anyone would be willing to organize a trade? When you first load into the game, press "," (without quotes) to cycle to Direct Chat. Then, when you are near someone, you can press caps lock to voice chat or start text chat by first hitting "/" (or maybe it's "\", can't remember off the top of my head) and then hit enter to send message.

Great to hear Dark, can't wait til the server is back in business.
I have one general question about how server times work. The 1337 server was in Atlanta but the in game time and rl time were off so when I got home at night (live near ATL) it was morning on the server. Is this because server admins can choose how to offset their server or a bug with the server Day Z installation of some kind caused it or something else?
If it's controlled by the admins, have you guys considered how you are going to set up the new server?

Lemme guess, you're at the rock cliffs between electro and cherno? I wanted to setup a tent there for when I spawn but could never get my tent planted in the right place. I found such a sweet little nook too that should have been big enough. |

Adding on to Dark's post:
I decided to rent a new server (US 382, "Server A") for the following reasons:
1. 1337 was getting too crowded. In any instance of PvP there was about a 50% chance of engaging another TL group. Holding fire to ask on TS "hey anyone near X? Dance dance dance dance" has cost my group several kills, both because of "friendly" TLer and because the target escaped/got to cover/logged before we could take the shot
2. HFB sucks. We all greatly appreciated the decision to host a TL server, but the 30 minute load times were annoying the shit out of me. Additionally, every couple of days HFB would remove more control. There were the mentioned issues with the time zone being completely fucked, crashes pretty much daily, insane desync, lag, updates, etc
That's all! Everyone is welcome to play on 382, and many of you have. After having talked with Dark for a while after the Stary Incident, I posted about us being friendly and welcoming but I came off as hostile (as I've been told).
I want to clear that up for everyone. My group ("bittervets") is happy to team up with others. We try to observe TS for questions (direct chat messages, double click a person to start a private text chat), and we've all played with others just fine. But we like PvP. If we aren't currently working with you, expect to be treated as hostile.
And for the record, we are all basically happy to team up with anyone (except Black Widow) and help out or do whatever.

Server time depends on the host. HFB required you to put in a support ticket to have the time changed. This was done, and the time was "changed", but it remained Pakistan time. ViLayer (host of 382) allows me to change the time zone of my server to any of the following:
UTC-9
UTC-6
UTC-3
UTC
UTC+3
UTC+6
UTC+9
UTC+12
It's currently set to UTC-6, although I have asked about other offsets. I was told that eventually there will be options for all offsets, but not just yet. When that can be done, the server will be changed to UTC-4 (current east coast time). |

Vehicles shouldn't poof unless the server restarts and is forced through timeout. Him being kicked shouldn't poof the bus.
For the record, vehicles and tents will not spawn if an admin forces the game to start (ie, skip the 90 second timeout) after a restart. |

I have one general question about how server times work. The 1337 server was in Atlanta but the in game time and rl time were off so when I got home at night (live near ATL) it was morning on the server. Is this because server admins can choose how to offset their server or a bug with the server Day Z installation of some kind caused it or something else?
If it's controlled by the admins, have you guys considered how you are going to set up the new server?
edit - I don't think you guys need it but I'm a systems admin for a small business irl so if you ever need or want the help managing the server let me know.
The time things never worked for us with that server provider, it was all in their hands and they fucked it up with some script they wrote, and never actually fixed it for us.
We should be fine for managing the server, I manage a network at a university and dark knows a decent amount of shit about servers but if we need any help we'll let you know, thanks for the offer. |

mord does update the thread occasionally but he hasnt been on recently.
I was thinking about pming a admin to see if I could have the thread ownership so I could update the OP with chargers post at the very least.
