Nah wasn't me lol. I moved into the stary channel b/c I was in the area and didn't want to get shot XD
Edit: Green get on TS and into the stary channel I can guard your body until you manage to make it up here.

i heard you shoot, but not at me. i got overrun by a "few" z's. No need to guard my body, only had an akm and a few tools. i'll gear up in cherno and head up there later. need something from the store?

oh yeah, i got no mic atm so no TS for me

AKM is not much better. I died in one of the tents. one with the entrance facing north, i think 4th or 5th coming from east.

Right now you can just carry 2 mags for several weapons and hope to god you find one.
This change makes it way harder to get legit high tier gear since you already need to carry a lot of shit around just to survive.

Hmm, I don't know if my playstyle is just way too cautious, but I always walk around with a hatchet with my gun sitting in my pack. I'm only holding 2clips for my primary and 2 for my secondary because I don't really feel I need more since I'm not inclined to engage in gunfights with zombies or people.

US 1337 has been taken down awhile ago. Current TL server is US 382. The server is hosted in the US and most EU ping roughly 180-200.

I'm near stary, but going to be heading down to balota area soon. Friend and I logged off there and I'm going to head back down to pick him up. Then we'll probably be going to cherno/elek idk

Edit: Found the AKM and took it green sorry didn't think you'd be back to the area so soon lol. Also found an M24, though, and 9 ammunition packs for it XD

Had to leave behind a remington and an AKS Kobra T_T

Caution; DayZ patch whine post.

I think Rocket is fixing things in the wrong order, causing frustration for players.

If you want a true ammo count, give players the ability to combine mags so we don't end up with 5 clips of 1/5 shots for our AKM

Take away the respawn button after you enable parties to spawn in the same area.

Barbed wire/tanktrap/sandbag griefing is simply a bad idea as it offers no meaningful interaction at all. It's a tool for griefers to stop you from getting through a corridor to get to loot you risked your life for two days after they placed the damn thing.

Maybe give players a weapon of some sort because running around town looking for a weapon, food and ammo while 50 zombies are chasing you and the good people of Cherno are aiming their AS50's at you.
As it stands it adds 10/15 minutes of uninteresting content.

I am really in love with this game and I'm sure it'll all get patched in due time. Right now every patch seems to add obstacles without offering that feeling of achievement gamers crave.

The game is in alpha but that doesn't mean DayZ shouldn't take the current playerbase into consideration since we are the people most likely to buy DayZ when it actually comes out.

Looting is an essential skill that everyone must learn though. Starting with a weapon is just a noobtrap to attract all the zombies to oneself instead of avoiding them.

This is true, starting with a weapon would take away from the game.

One thing Rocket said he is considering is that players would start with(or eventually learn) a certain trait which would make them more valuable as each person can only have one. This would encourage team play and make life a bit more valuable in the game.

Rocket sounds like such an intelligent guy I am nearly positive he will continue improving the game making it better and not making it worse.
