| I get such low fps on this game/mod even though my computer should definatley be able to run it. Anyone else encounter this and if so know of any ways to improve fps other than turn the graphics down (which I already did)? I'm looking to more of like console/game file edit stuff to get some fps improvement. Thanks. |

If you haven't already, try using the new "test" patch 1.7. It significantly reduces dayz specific fps drop. http://cdn.armafiles.info/test_SE3-6/ obviously connect to servers using 1.7.0.0 when you install this code.

| Been watching streams and videos for the last couple days of it, looks pretty cool although really buggy. I imagine on a better game engine with super good graphics and more accurate gunplay, it would be fucking amazing. |

| The FPS drop is annoying. Usually relaunching the game solves it but then you gotta get back into a server which can be a hassle. |

"accurate gunplay" ? I hope you're not talking about CoD or something ...
Yeah, the Operation Flashpoint/ArmA engine has always been buggy, but I think it's almost inevitable. To my knowledge, no other game has this much playable terrain modeled in 3D. The simple fact that it works is already quite remarkable imo. |

In the UK SAS server in one of the power stations (one near the church) spawned 2 fucking AKs.
So I'm busting one then a couple minutes later I come back and 2 more have spawned with the addition of a shotgun. Seeing as no one was in Elektro, I left server and went to fuck over some guys in some other server. Shame I'm lagging though so murdering may have to wait a little. |

Thanks, will check out when I get home from work. One more question, are a decent amount of servers running this version or is it going to be impossible to find one? |

I know this is certainly a frequently asked question, but is there a chance that the zombies' movement will be... "fixed", with the actual engine ? I mean it sure looks hard and fun to kill a zombie, but as the same time completly weird and non immersive (to me) :/

Once you have the game figured out, zombies are no longer a threat. The only real threat is other players. You can kill hundreds of zombies as long as you have the ammunition for it, but if you walk around the wrong corner without paying attention someone will pop you with their pea-shooter.

Could always try adding -maxMem=2047 -cpuCount=4 (or whatever your values for RAM and CPU cores are obviously) to the launch options if you havent, gave me some extra fps.Last edit: 2012-05-31 09:48:41 |

| The 1.7 patch seemed to help a little bit, game is slightly less buggy feeling too which is nice. From the little more than 2 hours of playing I've done I think night time is way more fun in game. It just feels generally more scary not being able to tell what is lurking around and having to take your time. |

Yeah, I was playing last night and hopped on two UK servers but both were in the day. LAAAAAAAAAAME. Night time is so much better, really is tense. Every flare, every gunshot.
